The Compliance Analyst will report to their supervisor/manager for day-to-day job functions and will report to a Project Manager when working in support of a large project. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\n\nSkills, Knowledge, and Abilities\nCommunication Skills: must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing in English.\nMulti-tasking: must have the ability to simultaneously perform multiple assignments.\nInterpersonal Skills: team player with ability to interface effectively with different levels of organization both internally and with clients.\nComputers & Software: basic working knowledge and ability using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.\nMust be able to work independently with some oversight or with a team.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe essential functions of the Compliance Analyst include, but are not limited to:\nDemonstrating a strong commitment to customer service and high-quality compliance deliverables.\nCommunicating with clients through calls or virtual meetings to support project activities and maintain professional relationships.\nEnsuring scope changes are not initiated without client approval and performing peer checks to ensure accuracy of work products.\nIdentifying project issues that may affect quality, schedule, or budget and promptly notifying the Supervisor/Manager and Project Manager.\nSupporting a collaborative team environment and assisting in the mentoring of Associate-level analysts.\nParticipating in occasional onsite client support assignments as needed.\nMaintaining accurate time entries and maximizing billable time.\nGathering, reviewing, and organizing client evidence, including establishing and maintaining structured folders and supporting cleanup within Certrec systems.\nDeveloping or updating client-specific procedures, training materials, and related documentation aligned with applicable NERC Reliability Standards.\nSupporting the development and implementation of Internal Compliance Programs (ICPs), audits, and gap analyses, including offering recommendations when appropriate.\nResearching and analyzing compliance-related questions and assisting with project status updates in coordination with the Project Manager.\nCreating training materials—including desktop guides and videos—and providing instruction on Certrec platforms and tools.\nStaying current on NERC Reliability Standards and Certrec products and applying this knowledge to project work.\nIdentifying potential business development opportunities during client interactions and sharing leads or client intelligence with the Business Development team.\nComplying with all company policies and procedures.\n\nTravel\nThis role may require periodic travel to client locations to support meetings, evidence reviews, onsite activities, or project delivery. Any travel undertaken will follow normal auto and air travel conditions and may involve exposure to varied weather.\n\nEducation\nRequired: An associate degree or 60 college credit hours or higher.\nExperience\nRequired: 2-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance or related activities in a similar industry.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to remain in a stationary position for long periods while working at a computer.\nAbility to operate a computer and other standard office equipment.\nAbility to occasionally move about the office as needed, if working on office.\n\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
