In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will manage and develop staff nurses through real-time feedback and coordinated training, and purpose, services, and policies and procedures, and take part in their development and implementation\nIn alignment with the ADON, DON, and VP, evaluate and develop strategies and plans for ongoing departmental success\nBe accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care within residences/facility\nSupport the clinical team (RNs and CNAs) and ensure standards of practice and clinical policies are consistent with the profession and the community\nAct as first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and assume resident assignment when needed\nMake recommendations to improve workflow and act as a catalyst for policy, procedural, and resident care changes that safeguard safety, security, and confidentiality\nDevelop staff for clinical competence and serve as a resource for clinical issues and problem resolution\nImplement changes impacting personnel, processes, and procedures to meet organizational goals\nAssist the ADON/DON with quarterly IDPs and performance management\nSupport staff completing orientation in collaboration with consistent preceptor assignments\nSupport facilitation, translation, and education of EMR and technological tools in resident care workflows\nPromote and monitor compliance with HIPAA regulations\nAssist nursing leadership in maintaining continuous readiness for surveys\nFacilitate chart audits focused on problematic and regulatory required areas of documentation\nParticipate in admissions and annual resident multidisciplinary meetings as applicable\nPromote collaboration, teamwork, and morale among Misericordia while gaining hands-on experience supporting people with developmental and intellectual disabilities.\nWhat We're Looking For\nBachelor's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or Associate's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program with official transcripts\nCurrent Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, or current Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing\n3-5 years RN experience or 2-3 years LPN experience\nExperience in IDD, developmental disabilities, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred\nSupervisory experience preferred\nLeadership skills and/or management experience, including project management, training, or mentoring staff\nExperience taking initiative and responsibility, with a high degree of professionalism and ownership\nProven ability to work as a team member\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nUnderstanding of
