As the business grows, we are building a lean, commercially focused finance function capable of supporting a dynamic, multi-entity global operation.\nThe Role\nWe are looking for a Finance Associate to join our growing finance team. You will have at least 2-4 years general accounting experience developed in a fast-paced environment, and be able to demonstrate a strong commercial awareness and proactive attitude. Ideally you will be part-qualified.\nThis role is suited to someone who is technically strong, who’s worked as a Management Accountant or similar, commercially aware, proactive, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced startup environment. This is a high-ownership role, working closely with leadership, with exposure across finance, operations, and commercial decision-making.\nWe are not looking for a traditional back-office accountant - we are looking for someone who can operate, solve, and own. You will have worked on all aspects of month end and other financial processes.\nThe successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of tasks, drive processes forward independently, and contribute to continuous improvement across the function.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the monthly close and reporting process, including journals, reconciliations, and assistance with management accounts\nSupport compliance activities and statutory filings across multiple regions, coordinating with external consultants and ensuring deadlines are met\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase operational efficiency\nAssist with audit preparation, investor reporting, and ad-hoc finance projects\nContribute to board packs, quarterly reporting materials, and wider business reporting\nSupport commercial finance activities, including:\nCustomer pricing and deal support\nReviewing contracts and understanding revenue implications\nTracking subscription, transaction, and revenue-related metrics\nGain exposure to multi-entity and cross-border finance operations\nSupport payment flow reconciliations and operational finance processes\nCoordinate with external partners including tax advisors, payroll providers, auditors, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of workstreams\nWork closely with leadership on:\nFinancial modelling\nKPI tracking and performance analysis\nFundraising support and investor-related materials\nDeveloping scalable finance processes and controls\nRequirements\n2-4 years of experience within a finance operations / accounting role.\nPrevious experience within a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced environment preferred\nPart-qualified CA / ACCA, or strong accounting background\nStrong Excel / Google Sheets capability\nExperience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting platforms\nGood understanding of core accounting principles and finance processes\nWhat Will Make You Successful in This
