As our Designer, you will bring Mission Australia’s story to life through creative, accessible and impactful visual design that helps strengthen our brand and amplify the work we do with individuals, families and communities across Australia.\nWorking as part of the Marketing Operations team, you will transform briefs into engaging creative solutions across digital and traditional channels, from social media and email campaigns to advertising, publications and multimedia content. This is an opportunity to combine your creativity, technical expertise and strategic thinking to create work that not only looks great but helps drive meaningful social impact.\nYour key responsibilities will be to:\nCreate high-quality, creative and accessible design assets across digital and traditional marketing channels.\nTranslate creative briefs into compelling visual concepts and finished design solutions.\nApply and champion Mission Australia's brand guidelines across all design outputs.\nProduce collateral for web, email, social media, digital advertising and print communications.\nCollaborate with stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements and project priorities.\nManage multiple design projects simultaneously while meeting agreed deadlines.\nMaintain accurate file management, version control and work-in-progress processes.\nProvide project timelines, design estimates and status updates to stakeholders.\nCoordinate and provide direction to external suppliers, agencies and freelancers as required.\nDevelop and direct photo and video shoots to ensure content is authentic, engaging and aligned to brand standards.\nRequirements for success\nRelevant tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Design or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated experience developing creative concepts and delivering design projects across digital and traditional media.\nExperience creating and editing visual content for multiple channels and audiences.\nAdvanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.\nStrong understanding of typography, layout, colour theory and accessibility principles.\nExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.\nStrong written, verbal and presentation skills with exceptional attention to detail.\nAbility to communicate design rationale and present recommendations to stakeholders.\nCommitment to collaboration, continuous improvement, workplace safety and Mission Australia's values and brand standards.\nDesirable\nVideo editing experience and an understanding of multimedia content production.\nAnimation development capabilities.\nBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.\nYour benefits\nTo ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:\nRewarding work - every day you know you’re making a real difference\nNot-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)\nFree external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support\nVolunteering opportunities \nOpportunity to purchase additional annual leave \nExtra leave including: Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off\nOur culture\nOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.\nWe prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.\nWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
