Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n This role supports the assembly of copper bus required for electrical equipment. The overall objective of the Bus Assembler is to provide high quality craftsmanship when assembling copper bus and similar conductive material using best in class installation techniques in order to contribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs. Consistent and accurate representation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.\nAccountabilities\nDemonstrate an entry-level of proficiency in executing workmanship on all production projects to include large line- ups and complex sections in areas of assembling and installing copper bus into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department. \nInstall and mount conductive material into electrical enclosures by reading and comprehending schematics or documents, under supervision and guidance from senior team members, to efficiently build customized equipment in order to meet and exceed deadlines. \nPerform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and saw horses. \nInterpret and apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, and sequencing. \nMaintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre-established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally. \nMaintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non- conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests. \n Required Knowledge / Experience\n0-1 year of work experience assembling copper bus, or similar materials, into electrical control equipment in a manufacturing facility required. \nProduction and Processing: Knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. \nMechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Tools include: screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, crimpers, wiring cutters, tape measures, ban saws, air tools, and inspection mirror. \nActive Listening: The ability to give full attention to when others speak and taking time to understand the points being made; asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. \nVerbal & Written Communication Skills: The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. \nTime Management: The ability to manage one’s own time and contribute to the effective us of others’. \nProduction and Processing: Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. \nQuality focus: The ability to establish and exceed high standards of excellence in all elements of work by carefully following procedures and striving for accuracy. \nTeamwork/Cooperation: The ability to correspond and collaborate with both peers and leaders. \nManual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, you hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. \nControl Precision: The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions. \nArm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position \nDesign: Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models. \nMath Skills: This position requires intermediate math skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.) \nMulti-limb Coordination: The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion. \nNear Vision: The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). \nCustomer & Service Orientation: The ability to initiate and actively seek ways to help people. \nEducation\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nThis is a FLSA non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis. Overtime may be required based on production demands, including extended shifts, weekends, or holidays. \nThis role is based on the production floor. The position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards. \nMobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs. \nManual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. \nLifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to fifty (50) pounds.
