The Controller ensures financial integrity, drives data-informed decision-making, and builds scalable processes that support sustainable growth. external auditors to provide accurate and timely financial information for decision-making and strategic planning.\nAccountabilities:\nFinancial Reporting & Close\nOwn and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness\nDeliver clear, reliable financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)\nEnsure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory standards\nReview journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals with a high standard of accuracy and accountability\nManufacturing Cost Accounting & Operational Partnership\nLead standard costing, variance analysis, and cost roll-ups across operations\nMonitor and analyze labor efficiency, material usage, scrap, and overhead absorption\nEnsure accurate inventory valuation, controls, and cycle count processes\nPartner with plant and operations leaders to improve profitability, cost discipline, and performance visibility\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nDesign, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks\nEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and audit standards\nLead internal and external audit processes with a focus on zero material weaknesses required\nMaster’s degree preferred\nCPA strongly preferred\n7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience\nMinimum 3 years in a supervisory role\nPublic accounting experience, with prior audit experience strongly preferred\nExperience with manufacturing and percentage of completion revenue recognition preferred\nAdvanced experience with MS Office (i.e., Excel)\nPrivate equity-backed environment preferred\nExperience with multi-entity or multi-site operations\nStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance\nProven ability to produce accurate financial statements\nProven ability to lead and develop teams (5-15+ employees)\nStrong cross-functional leadership with operations, supply chain, and executive teams\nDeep understanding of manufacturing operations and cost drivers\nExceptional analytical skills and attention to detail\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and non-financial information to stakeholders\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nFLSA executive and professional positions paid on a salary basis, where project requirements and tight client deadlines may require workweeks over forty (40) hours (including weekends or holidays)\nThis role will be in office setting, however frequent visits to the production floor are required to oversee operations, ensure compliance and safety standards.\nMobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.\nManual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.\nLifting: Ability to lift and carry items up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
