Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n The Electrical Designer is responsible for supporting the development and execution of electrical systems and control panel designs for our manufacturing operations. The Electrical Designer will be responsible for creating electrical design packages, selecting components, preparing detailed schematics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is carried through to production.\nResponsibilities\nCreate designs specific to low voltage switchgear assemblies/systems, replacement breakers, and related equipment. \nWork under the supervision of electrical engineers to develop electrical schematics, panel layout, and wiring diagrams that meet customer, manufacturing, regulatory, and project requirements. \nCreate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists, and terminal block drawings. \nFollow and develop standard design processes and documentation to improve quality and efficiency in engineering design. \nSupport engineering change orders (ECOs) and revise existing designs to improve manufacturability, cost, or performance. \nMaintain proper version control and documentation. \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \n Excellent verbal and written communication skills. \nExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. \nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail. \nExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. \nAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. \nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software. \nEducation and Experience\nAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or related field. \n3 years of experience in electrical drafting or design, preferably in switchgear or related industry. \nStrong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical. \nExperience using AutoCAD and/or Inventor. \nHands-on experience in panel building and wiring. \nExperience in the design of electrical switchgear, UL891, and UL1558. \nSatisfactory completion of additional background screening. \n A Note to our Recruitment Partners: We really appreciate the interest, but MCG currently manages hiring through our internal team.
