Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n The Mission Critical Group team specializes in designing and building custom electrical switchgear and controls for a variety of applications. We engineer, build, and deploy specialized switchgear and control systems for the power generation industry. We are agile, fast-paced, and our goal is to provide our customers with clever, cost-effective products and solutions.\nUnder the direct supervision of the Production Floor Manager, the Assembly Technician performs mechanical assembly, and installation work on assigned switchgear at a basic level. The Assembly Technician will follow specific schedules and procedures including safety protocol, installation processes, and other instructions.\nEssential Duties/Responsibilities:\nThe following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.\nProper utilization of all common, electrical, and carpentry shop tools \nAssembly of electrical sheet metal enclosures \nComputer literacy \nPerform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties \n Required Knowledge/Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience \nMinimum of 1 year in mechanical assembly/mechanical repair or associated field. \nSatisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable). \nValid driver’s license \nPreferred certifications (OSHA10, CPR) \nRequired Skill/Abilities:\nProper utilization of all common electrical hand tools.\nSelf-motivated and detail-oriented individual.\nAttention to detail because each wire matters. \nNeat and tidy in work done.\nResponsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping.\nLift up to 50 pounds.\nBasic computer literacy.\nWork well in a team environment. Add to the culture. We all help each other.\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nStandard work week is Monday through Friday, typically 40 hours per week, overtime may be required, including evenings or weekends, based on production demands. \nPhysical exertion may vary depending on position type. May be required to regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, frequently stand or walk around the work area, and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs. \nAssembling may involve manipulating small parts and using hand tools. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential for this job. Comfortable with occasional repetitive motions. \nMust be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities. \nManufacturing facilities can be loud and have bright lights.
