Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n The Project Engineer provides technical support and coordination across the engineering portfolio to help meet customer, project, and production requirements. This role serves as a central coordination point among engineering, project management, sales, procurement, quality, production, customers, vendors, and external engineering partners. The Project Engineer organizes technical information, supports planning and prioritization, tracks schedules and deliverables, reviews drawings, models, bills of materials, calculations, and related documentation, and helps resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle. The role applies independent technical judgment within assigned responsibilities, maintains accurate project records, and supports the efficient progression of work from concept and design through fabrication, assembly, and closeout.\nAccountabilities:\nProvide technical coordination and support across the engineering portfolio, including new product, customer project, production support, continuous improvement, and sustaining engineering activities.\nSupport the planning, assignment, prioritization, scheduling, and delivery of engineering work performed by internal teams, external engineering firms, vendors, and contract resources.\nDevelop and communicate clear scopes of work, technical requirements, priorities, milestones, and expected deliverables for assigned engineering activities.\nServe as a technical coordination point among engineering, project management, sales, procurement, quality, production, customers, vendors, and external engineering partners.\nGather, organize, and distribute drawings, specifications, standards, customer requirements, design inputs, and other technical information needed to complete assigned work.\nTrack project status, engineering deliverables, open questions, decisions, changes, approvals, and due dates; identify risks or delays and escalate concerns to the appropriate leader.\nReview drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, calculations, specifications, and other engineering deliverables for completeness, accuracy, consistency, manufacturability, and alignment with company, customer, and applicable engineering requirements.\nIdentify technical gaps, discrepancies, and nonconformities; coordinate corrections, approvals, and follow-up actions with the responsible stakeholders.\nCoordinate responses to technical questions, design changes, redlines, requests for information, shop-floor feedback, and field issues to support timely resolution and accurate revisions.\nMaintain organized project records, revision histories, transmittals, approvals, action logs, and other technical documentation throughout the engineering lifecycle.\nSupport engineering workload visibility, resource coordination, and communication of capacity, quality, responsiveness, and recurring issues to management.\nSupport continuous improvement by standardizing engineering handoffs, submittal requirements, templates, design-review practices, and coordination processes.\nWork collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure engineering outputs support safety, quality, cost, schedule, compliance, and manufacturability expectations.\nFacilitate the import, integration, organization, and exchange of 3D CAD models and related technical data within the internal engineering environment.\nPerform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.\n High School Diploma, equivalent, or any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties\nTwo or more years of relevant engineering, design, drafting, manufacturing support, project coordination, or technical review experience preferred.\nFamiliarity with CAD systems, including SolidWorks, preferred.\nWorking knowledge of engineering design principles, technical documentation, drawing and model review practices, tolerances, bills of materials, change control, and manufacturing methods.\nAbility to read, interpret, organize, and evaluate engineering drawings, 3D models, specifications, bills of materials, calculations, and P&IDs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.\nAbility to apply independent technical judgment, identify design gaps or nonconformities, coordinate input from multiple disciplines, and recommend practical solutions.\nStrong attention to detail.\nExcellent time management skills, ability to self-motivate. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with customers, vendors, and engineering partners.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, required.\nUnderstanding the forming of sheet metal work and capabilities preferred.\nAbility to pass a background check and drug screen.\n A Note to our Recruitment Partners: We really appreciate the interest, but MCG currently manages hiring through our internal team.
