Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n The primary role of the Quality Control Technician will be to interpret, comply with and improve MCG’s quality assurance standards. Essential to this responsibility will be the requirement to ensure quality assurance activities are documented, internal reporting processes adhered to, and regular audits implemented. The Quality Technician will identify any training needs and ensure the company-wide participation in the quality management system.\nResponsibilities:\nProduct Inspection\nPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.\nExecute and document inspection and testing activities.\nVerify compliance to specifications, drawings, BOMs, and customer requirements.\nRecord inspection results and maintain quality records.\nNonconformance Identification\nIdentify and document nonconforming materials and products.\nAssist with containment and disposition activities.\nSupport corrective action investigations by providing inspection data.\nTesting & Verification\nPerform dimensional, visual, electrical, and functional testing as required.\nVerify calibration status of inspection and test equipment.\nAssist with first article inspections and validation activities.\nReporting\nPrepare inspection reports and quality documentation.\nCommunicate quality issues to supervisors and production personnel.\nTrack quality defects and trends.\n Required Knowledge/Experience:\nTwo-year degree (or equivalent experience) in S.T.E.M. or related field or equivalent years of experience in the manufacturing/industrial industry setting.\nKnowledge of warehouse inventory management. (Preferred)\nKnowledge of metal shop manufacturing and quality control. (Preferred)\nKnowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement standards, terminology, methods, and tools including ISO9001, version control procedures, non-conformance/corrective action processes, auditing, 8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen, process flow mapping, etc. (Preferred)\nKnowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing, installation, and use. (Preferred)\nKnowledge of quality control principles and inspection methods\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs)\nKnowledge of measurement and testing equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, laboratory testing instruments (industry-specific)\nBasic understanding of statistics and data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)\nFamiliarity with safety and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry\nSatisfactory completion of additional background screening.\nRequired Skill/Abilities:\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills\nExcellent technical writing and verbal communication skills\nAbility to interpret basic electro-mechanical diagrams including front elevation, one-line, manufacturing, and schematic drawings\nExcellent attention to detail\nProficient in all Microsoft applications\n A Note to our Recruitment Partners: We really appreciate the interest, but MCG currently manages hiring through our internal team.
