Powering a new electric world for a brighter, more secure future.\n The primary role of the Quality Engineer will be to interpret, comply with and improve MCG’s quality assurance standards. Essential to this responsibility will be the requirement to ensure quality assurance activities are documented, internal reporting processes adhered to, and regular audits implemented. The Quality Engineer will identify any training needs and ensure company-wide participation in the quality management system.\nResponsibilities:\nThe following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.\nPlan, execute, and document inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications and deliverables. \nAssist operations team in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels for performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental, health, and safety goals and key performance indicators. \nInvestigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements. \nMonitor risk-management procedures using software and documentation to identify, investigate, and report issues to management and product development teams. \nIdentify and provide training and support to team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and processes. \nSupport, participate in, or conduct external ISO, UL, or internal audits \nPerforms other duties as assigned. \n Required Knowledge/Experience:\nBachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering or related field \n1-3 years of applicable experience in a manufacturing/industrial or related setting \nPreferred\nKnowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement standards, terminology, methods, and tools including ISO9001, version control procedures, non-conformance/corrective action processes, auditing, 8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen, process flow mapping, etc. \nKnowledge of low voltage switchboard / switchgear design, installation, and use. \nKnowledge of local, state, and federal codes governing the installation \nRequired Skill/Abilities:\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills \nExcellent technical writing and verbal communication skills \nAbility to interpret basic electro-mechanical diagrams including front elevation, one-line, manufacturing, and schematic drawings. \nProficient in all Microsoft office applications\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nMust be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to include, but not limited to eye/ear/hand/feet protection. \nPhysical exertion may vary. May be required to regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, frequently stand or walk around the work area, and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs. \nWork responsibilities may involve manipulating small parts, using hand tools and repetitive motions. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential. \nMust be able to follow instructions and stay alert to potential hazards on the shop floor. \nMust be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities. \nManufacturing facilities can be loud and have bright lights.
