Sound like a mission you can get behind?\nWe're looking for a Paralegal to own Mission Lane's day-to-day corporate legal work, from investor due diligence and audit requests to governance, filings and managing outside counsel relationships This is a a newly created role reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Corporate.\nThe impact you'll make:\nBehind every Mission Lane account is a person with a plan: a move across the country, a new job, a business taking shape. The Paralegal keeps that foundation solid, so the people building Mission Lane's future can spend their time on our customers' progress.\nIn your first year, you'll become the person Legal, Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury and the People Team turn to when a request needs an owner: a diligence list from an investor, an audit request with a deadline, a filing due next week. You'll do that by:\nRunning due diligence and audit requests from intake to close, gathering answers from the teams that hold them and keeping every response accurate and on schedule.\nSupporting corporate governance, including preparing and maintaining documentation, supporting corporate filings, and keeping entity records and renewals current.\nManaging relationships with outside counsel and legal vendors, from invoices and budgets to the legal technology tools the department uses every day.\nPartnering with Finance, IT, Tax, Treasury, and the People Team to streamline how legal work moves through the company.\nAssisting attorneys on commercial transactions and compliance matters, using sound judgment on work that arrives with limited direction.\nGrowing into adjacent work as the function scales, such as Board coordination, legal research, and drafting and reviewing contracts.\nYou'll thrive in this role if:\nYou build the tracker before anyone asks for one, and you always know what's due next.\nYou can run several workstreams for several stakeholders at once and keep each of them informed without being chased.\nYou read an investor's diligence list and see the project plan inside it.\nYou're comfortable working with limited day-to-day supervision from an attorney, and you know which questions are worth taking to one.\nYou already use AI tools in your work and get curious about where they can take the busywork out of legal operations.\nYou like the idea of a role that stretches as the Legal team grows, and you're ready to stretch with it.\nMinimum Qualifications:\n7+ years of corporate and transactional experience, ideally including time in a large corporate legal department or law firm\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience\nStrong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, deadline-driven environment\nExperience with corporate transactions, due diligence, and compliance\nExperience managing budgets and vendor relationships, including law firm billing\nExemplary communication, research, and organizational skills\nComfort working alongside AI tools, and a curiosity to keep learning and adopting new ways of working as technology evolves\nAble to work fully remote, with periodic business travel and attendance at company gatherings\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in financial services\nExperience negotiating commercial contracts\nExperience managing a corporate IP portfolio\nResidence in the Greater Richmond, Virginia area\nCompensation:\nAnnual full-time starting base salary range: $95,000 - $124,000\nThis role is eligible for additional compensation in the forms of participation in our annual incentive and equity programs. {{If not eligible:}} This role is eligible for additional compensation in the form of participation in our annual incentive program.\nPay is based on factors such as work experience, education, certification(s), training, skills, and competencies related to the role.
