This gives them the complete picture and confidence in their financial future.\nDay-to-Day as Cybersecurity Specialist:\nSupport the Senior IT Manager in managing and continuously improving Mission Wealth’s cybersecurity program\nHelp build, maintain and manage the firm’s cybersecurity audit logging, monitoring and evidence-tracking processes\nMonitor security alerts, authentication activity, endpoint events and system logs and investigate unusual or suspicious activity\nSupport incident response, vulnerability remediation, access reviews and other recurring cybersecurity activities\nMaintain documentation and supporting evidence for cybersecurity controls, audits, assessments and SEC regulatory examinations\nAssist with policy, procedure, and runbook documentation for incident response, access management, endpoint security, and vendor access governance.\nWork with Microsoft security tools including Intune, Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access and other Microsoft 365 security capabilities\nSupport device compliance, maintain endpoint security baselines and provide endpoint protection monitoring\nReview Entra ID sign-in activity, MFA/Conditional Access events, risky users, privileged access activity, and identity-related security alerts\nAssist with SaaS application access reviews, admin role reviews, vendor access reviews, and documentation of permission changes.\nTrack cybersecurity findings, remediation items and recurring reviews through completion \nHelp maintain cybersecurity dashboards, recurring reports, evidence repositories, security findings, remediation tracking, and audit support materials.\nWork closely with Mission Wealth’s outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) and other security vendors on alerts, patching, endpoint protection, access issues and technical escalations\nHelp maintain clear ownership and accountability between internal Technology resources, the MSP and outside security partners\nSupport phishing prevention, employee security awareness and cybersecurity training initiatives\nAssist the broader Technology Team with general technical support/troubleshooting by providing general technology support to employees as needed, including troubleshooting hardware, software, access and connectivity issues\nIdentify opportunities to improve and automate security monitoring, reporting and documentation\nWork closely with IT, Compliance, external cybersecurity partners and technology vendors \nSpeak your mind, have your voice heard, innovate and streamline existing processes\nGrow yourself personally and professionally with the support of your team\nWhat You Bring as Cybersecurity Specialist:\nA curious, investigative mindset and strong attention to detail\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to follow issues through to resolution\nA practical approach to cybersecurity, risk reduction and problem solving\nComfort working in a regulated environment where documentation and evidence matter\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work collaboratively with internal teams, external vendors and technical partners\nWillingness to jump in and support broader Technology Team needs when necessary\nA desire to continuously learn and strengthen the firm’s cybersecurity posture\nRequirements\n3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related technical role\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nExperience reviewing security alerts, logs, authentication activity and endpoint events\nWorking knowledge of incident response, vulnerability management, identity and access management and endpoint protection\nExperience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Microsoft security technologies such as Intune, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365 or Defender for Cloud Apps and Purview\nExperience with identity security concepts such as MFA, Conditional Access, privileged access, risky sign-ins, SSO, and access reviews\nExperience with SIEM, centralized logging, audit logging, or security monitoring platforms\nGeneral IT support experience with the ability to troubleshoot common endpoint, access, Microsoft 365, and connectivity issues\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CIS Controls\nExperience documenting cybersecurity controls, investigations, and remediation activity\nExperience working with an outsourced MSP, MSSP or other third-party technology provider preferred\nExperience in financial services, wealth management, or another regulated industry preferred\nCybersecurity certifications such as Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CISSP, or Microsoft Security certifications are a plus\nJob Type: Full-time, salaried exempt\nLocation: This position is based out of our office in Houston. This is an in-office position.\nSalary: $120,000 - $140,000 annual base salary; plus $38,500 annual bonus paid in quarterly increments\nThis position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization.
