Working across one of Australia's largest community housing providers, you will lead a team responsible for developing clear, accessible and practical operational resources that support staff, residents and stakeholders, ensuring services remain consistent, compliant and focused on positive resident outcomes. As the custodian of operational knowledge, you will oversee the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of procedures, SOPs, guides and other operational resources, ensuring they remain accurate, accessible and aligned to business requirements and service designs. While this role is responsible for translating new and existing processes into practical operational documentation, current and future-state service design sits within the Business Analyst function.\nYour key responsibilities will be to:\nLea and support a specialist team delivering high-quality operational documentation, knowledge resources and communications.\nDrive the development, review and continuous improvement of operational policies, procedures and manuals.\nEstablish and maintain documentation standards, templates and knowledge management practices.\nOversee governance processes including review cycles, version control and document maintenance.\nLead the uplift of resident-facing communications, ensuring they are clear, accessible and culturally safe.\nImprove the organisation, accessibility and usability of operational knowledge platforms and digital content.\nCollaborate with subject matter experts and operational stakeholders to align documentation with business processes.\nSupport business improvement, transformation initiatives and operational change through effective knowledge management.\nBuild strong relationships across housing, corporate and enabling teams to deliver nationally consistent resources and guidance.\nRequirements for success\nRelevant tertiary qualifications in communications, writing, business, public policy, community services or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.\nDemonstrated leadership experience in documentation, communications, content development or knowledge management environments.\nStrong knowledge of document governance, content management and review processes.\nProven ability to develop practical, fit-for-purpose resources in partnership with operational teams.\nStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.\nExceptional writing, editing and communication skills with a focus on quality and usability.\nAbility to balance strategic priorities with hands-on delivery and competing deadlines.\nExperience within community housing, social housing, government or community services settings will be highly regarded.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office and document or knowledge management platforms, including SharePoint.
