Together we’re building hope and possibility for all.\nFind out more about us and our purpose.\nYour Opportunity\nAs a Tenancy Support Coordinator within Tailored Support Coordination Services in Darwin, you will play a vital role in helping individuals and families sustain their tenancies and reduce their risk of homelessness. Working with people who may be facing complex challenges, you will provide person centred, strengths-based case management that empowers tenants to build the skills, confidence and supports needed to maintain safe and stable housing. This is an on-site position, involving a combination of office based work and regular home and community visits to support tenants in their own environments.\nYou will work closely with tenants, housing providers, community organisations and support services to identify needs, develop tailored support plans, and create pathways that improve wellbeing, independence and long-term housing outcomes. With a caseload of individuals and families, you will build strong relationships, advocate for clients, and facilitate meaningful connections to services that help people thrive in their community.\nYour Key Responsibilities:\n· Respond to referrals and complete intake, assessment and case management processes for individuals and families requiring tenancy support.\n· Develop tailored support plans that build tenancy skills, address barriers, and promote long term housing stability.\n· Conduct regular home and community visits to monitor progress, identify tenancy risks and provide practical support.\n· Assist tenants to understand their rights, responsibilities and expectations under tenancy agreements.\n· Connect clients with appropriate internal and external services, supports and community resources to meet their individual goals.\n· Maintain accurate case files, complete reviews and prepare monthly reports on tenancy outcomes and client progress.\n· Work collaboratively with housing providers, community agencies and stakeholders to support tenancy sustainment and positive client outcomes.\nRequirements for Success\n· Degree in Community Services with relevant experience, Diploma in Community Services with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and substantial industry experience.\n· Previous experience working in housing, homelessness, tenancy support or a related community services environment, and providing case management support to individuals and families with complex needs.\n· Strong understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act and the contributing factors that place people at risk of homelessness such as family violence, mental ill health, overcrowding, and substance use.\n· Demonstrated ability to build rapport, engage vulnerable clients and work effectively with people experiencing multiple barriers.\n· Excellent communication, relationship building and advocacy skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across services.\n· Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records and reporting requirements.\n· Cultural competency and experience working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their communities, systems, and protocols.\n· First Aid certificate is desired but not required.\n· Full driver licence with no restrictions.\nBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.\nYour Benefits\nTo ensure our employees feel valued, empowered, and celebrated, we provide a range of employee benefits including:\n· Rewarding work - every day you know you’re making a real difference\n· Not-for-profit salary packaging, reducing your tax (details via AccessPay)\n· Free external, confidential counselling and access to chaplaincy support\n· Volunteering opportunities\n· Fitness passport\n· Opportunity to purchase additional annual leave\n· Extra leave including: Mission Australia Thank You Day & Work Anniversary Day off\nOur Culture\nOur innovative and inclusive culture will ensure you feel valued at Mission Australia as you help Australians in need and develop in your career.\nWe prioritise the safety and wellbeing of everyone, both within our team and the individuals we serve.\nWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment.
