You’ll operate as a subject matter expert in industrial power systems, shaping complex designs, guiding project teams, and partnering directly with customers on mission-critical solutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead end-to-end electrical system design for industrial and mission-critical projects \nOwn system architecture across MV/LV distribution, substations, and backup power systems \nAct as the technical authority on complex, high-value projects \nDevelop and review: Single line diagrams \nProtection and coordination studies \nSchematics and equipment layouts \n\nPartner directly with customers to define robust, scalable power solutions \nProvide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects (often 10-15+) \nMentor engineers and elevate technical capability across the team \nWhat Sets This Role Apart\nTrue technical leadership role, no people management required \nWork on large-scale, complex electrical infrastructure, not small commercial systems \nHigh visibility with customers and leadership \nOpportunity to shape engineering standards and system design approaches \n 15-20+ years in electrical engineering \nPE license highly preferred\nBachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Master’s in Physics or Math related highly desirable) \nDeep expertise in industrial power systems (“big wires”) \nStrong experience with: MV/LV distribution \nSubstations, switchgear, transformers \nGenerators and UPS systems \nProtection & coordination (SEL relays preferred) \n\nBackground in industrial, utility, data center, or large infrastructure projects \nExperience with industrial engineering firms \nYou may currently be a:\nPrincipal / Lead Engineer at an engineering firm working on large industrial projects \nSenior engineer ready to step into a technical authority role \nPower systems specialist in an industrial EPC, utility, or mission-critical environment\n A Note to our Recruitment Partners: We really appreciate the interest, but MCG currently manages hiring through our internal team.
