We are creative, low-ego and team-spirited.\nThe Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our Inference API team. In this role, you will lead a new team dedicated to helping evolve our Inference APIs to enable a state of the art inference stack. You will help ship enterprise-level features, align on evolving API formats, and help improve specific modalities (audio, OCR, etc).\nYou’ll work to scale the team as they grow, help prioritize and support work in a fast paced environment, and build a healthy team culture. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to shape how Mistral’s technology is adopted globally and unlock large business opportunities\nWhat You Will Do\nRemove obstacles and create an environment where your team can focus on building solutions.\n\nTranslate product vision into technical reality, collaborating closely with the Product team.\n\nEnsure applications are performant, stable, and responsive.\n\nUphold high code quality standards through reviews, testing, and automation.\n\nOwn the full software development process, from design to deployment.\n\nPlan projects, including roadmaps, deadlines, and task allocation.\n\nCollaborate with stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design.\n\nSupport team growth through hiring, onboarding, and mentorship.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience building and managing engineering teams.\n\nProficiency in Python and at least one web framework (FastAPI, Django, Flask).\n\nProficiency in C#, Golang, TypeScript and at least one web framework.\n\nExperience with large-scale distributed systems.\n\nExperience working with cross-functional teams, such as Product, Design, and Business.\n\nKnowledge of databases, caching mechanisms, and messaging systems.\n\nStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.\n\nOwnership mindset and ability to ship products end-to-end.\n\nExcellent communication skills and a low-ego, team-first attitude.\n\nWhat We Offer\nWe offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being, growth, and work-life balance.
