This position provides technical expertise, operational leadership, and customer support for a wide range of services including welding, rigging, rope access operations, composite repairs, specialty mechanical services, and decommissioning activities. The Technician is responsible for ensuring safe execution, quality performance, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and profitability of assigned projects while supporting business growth and operational excellence.\nMajor Responsibilities/Activities:\nProvide leadership, oversight, and execution of offshore and onshore construction and mechanical projects.\nConduct all rope access operations in accordance with applicable SPRAT/IRATA and company requirements. \nProvide technical oversight for welding, fabrication, structural repairs, and mechanical maintenance activities.\nProduce drawing isometrics, measurements, and bill of materials to provide to fabrication.\nManage rigging operations associated with maintenance, construction, and decommissioning scopes.\nDevelop work packs, execution plans, and resource requirements.\nExecute offshore and onshore decommissioning activities.\nMaintain strong customer relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services and project growth.\nParticipate in pre-job planning meetings, risk assessments, job safety analysis, and post-job reviews.\nProvide routine project status updates to clients and MISTRAS management.\nEnsure all projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to client expectations.\nPromote and maintain a strong safety culture and exceptional HSE performance.\nSupport emergency response and mobilization activities as required.\nMaintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and quality management systems.\nMinimum Requirements:\nMinimum 5 years of offshore and/or industrial construction, maintenance, inspection, or mechanical integrity experience.\nStrong knowledge of offshore operations, mechanical programs, and facility maintenance.\nExperience supervising rope access projects and personnel.\nExperience with welding, fabrication, rigging, lifting operations, and structural repairs.\nStrong customer relationship management skills.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills.\nStrong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and project management software.\nAbility to develop estimates, reports, and technical documentation.\nTWIC card required.\nValid driver's license required.\nEssential Physical Functions:\nFrequent lifting up to 30 lbs.\nAbility to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and offshore structures.\nAbility to wear required PPE and fall protection equipment.\nAbility to travel and perform site walk downs and periodic project overview.\nThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; and does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.\nMISTRAS Group, Inc. is committed to equal employment opportunity.
