This position assists with insulation removal and installation, asbestos abatement, scaffolding, line lifts, fabrication, and general maintenance activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform asbestos abatement on process piping in accordance with applicable regulations and site requirements.\nErect and dismantle non-engineered Systems Scaffold.\nConstruct crib stacks, including 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and crow's foot configurations, based on the Lift Form.\nAssist with temporary support structures used for line lifting and designated rest points.\nAssist CUI Specialists with line lifts using airbags, lift jacks, rigging, and cranes in accordance with the Engineered Lift Form.\nPerform insulation removal and installation as directed.\nAssist with coating installation on DOT-regulated process piping when qualified and authorized.\nMaintain Operator Qualification (OQ) certification when required for the assigned area and position.\nDevelop proficiency in the operation of standard shop equipment.\nBuild skills in sheet metal and insulation fabrication, including T's, unequal T's, miters, gores, reducers, end caps, flange cans, mailbox fittings, wall flashing, and other related components.\nWork closely with CUI Specialists, Scaffold/Line Lift Technicians, and other crew members to ensure efficient completion of assigned work.\nFollow all company, client, State, and Federal safety requirements.\nActively participate in safety programs, Task Risk Assessments (TRA), JSAs, and other required safety activities.\nIdentify and report unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to maintain a safe work environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned by the CUI Support Lead or Superintendent.\nMinimum Qualifications\nCompletion of NSTC (North Slope Training Cooperative) training.\nValid driver's license.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\nCurrent Asbestos Abatement Certification through the State of Alaska.\nMinimum of 1 year of experience erecting and dismantling Systems Scaffold.\nMinimum of 2 years of practical experience using hand and power tools.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience working in a physically demanding job.\nAbility to work in a remote industrial environment on a rotational North Slope schedule.\nAbility to perform job duties while wearing a half-face or full-face respirator.\nAbility to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.\nPreferred Qualifications\nAt least 1 year of Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) experience in the oil and gas industry.\nPrevious experience with insulation, scaffolding, line lifting, industrial maintenance, or related field activities.\nOperator Qualification (OQ) certification applicable to the assigned work area.\nExperience with sheet metal or insulation fabrication.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong understanding of workplace safety and safe work practices.\nAbility to safely operate hand and power tools.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to actively listen, follow directions, and provide clear feedback.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nAbility to follow written procedures, lift plans, safety requirements, and work instructions.\nAbility to work safely and efficiently in physically demanding conditions.\nSafety & Compliance\nSafety is a core value at MISTRAS Group.
