Candidates will perform advanced ultrasonic inspections using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) methods in accordance with industry codes, procedures, and customer requirements.\nPosition Summary\nThe NDT PAUT Technician will be responsible for performing inspections, interpreting data, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in industrial and field environments.\nWorking for MISTRAS Group:\nComprehensive health benefits with coverage after 30 days worked full-time employment\nGenerous paid time off and company paid training\nCompetitive Wages & Per Diem for Travel jobs based on DSA Rates\n401K Savings Plan with 50% company match up to 6% of salary, after 90 days\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) inspections on welds, piping, pressure vessels, and structural components\nSet up and calibrate PAUT equipment\nInterpret and evaluate inspection data in accordance with applicable codes and specifications\nPrepare accurate inspection reports and documentation\nMaintain inspection records and ensure quality compliance\nFollow all company, client, and site-specific safety procedures\nWork closely with customers, project managers, and inspection teams\nSupport additional NDT methods as needed\nTravel to customer sites throughout the U.S. as project demands require\nWork overtime, weekends, shutdowns, and outage schedules when necessary\nRequirements:\nCurrent Level II or Level III PAUT certification required\nPrevious PAUT field experience required\nGraduate of a specialized NDT technical program meeting SNT-TC1A for one or all of the following is required: PAUT\nPrior certification as an UTSW NDE Level II with one (1) year experience or prior certification as Level II per SNT-TC1A standards on all or one (1) of the following is required; Phased Array, UTSW\nStrong understanding of ultrasonic testing principles and advanced NDT techniques\nAbility to read and interpret codes, standards, isometrics, and technical drawings\nExperience with corrosion mapping, weld inspections, and encoded scans preferred\nValid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively within the U.S.\nPreferred Requirements:\nAdditional NDT certifications (UT, MT, PT, RT, VT, TOFD) preferred\nExperience in refinery, petrochemical, aerospace, manufacturing, pipeline, or power generation industries\nMISTRAS Group strives to provide a positive work environment that values excellence in safety and quality, free from discrimination and harassment.
