Choose MITRE for a career with purpose - and help shape the future.Department Summary:\nMITRE’s Immersive Experimentation department builds extensible, scalable, real-time distributed simulation capabilities used primarily for immersive experimentation and rapid prototyping to address our sponsors’ missions. Our premier laboratories bring together a broad set of integrated capabilities for demonstration, experimentation, and immersive visualization. These labs are extensible, scalable, real-time distributed simulation environments based on an open, layered architecture. We leverage digital twins, game engines, extended reality, and artificial intelligence to conduct rapid prototyping and experimentation to address complex systems engineering challenges and to conduct scientific research. They are environments capable of handling a range of exploratory concepts, while also being realistic enough to provide a high-quality user experience.\nThe position requires creative problem-solving skills, good communication skills, an eagerness to learn new skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nManage scheduling and logistics for multiple physical laboratories managed by MITRE’s Immersive Experimentation Department.\nMaintain and update lab reservation systems.\nDeconflict and coordinate prioritization of spaces and resources.\nFacilitate coordination and communication between laboratory management, technical staff, and lab requestors.\nProvide administrative assistance for maintaining laboratories.\nSupport cybersecurity and physical security compliance of laboratories.\nSupport participant sourcing and purchase requests.\nBasic Qualifications:\nTypically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent in education, or 5 years’ experience and an Associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nExperienced with calendar management.\nExperienced with event planning and schedule deconfliction.\nDemonstrated superior attention to detail and prioritization with the ability to successfully multi-task.\nFlexibility, adaptability, and ability to deal with ambiguous situations.\nThis position requires a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree.\nExperience supporting a technical oriented organization.\nAbility to work effectively as a team player under time and work constraints with minimal supervision and tactfully with all levels of management.\nFamiliarity with human-in-the-loop experimentation and experimental conduct.\nExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to support diverse backgrounds.\nExercise independent judgment and discretion consistent with corporate objectives, philosophies, and broad policies.\nThis requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s):\nNoneThis requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s):\nNot ApplicableSalary compensation range and midpoint:\n$62,000 - $77,500 - $93,000 AnnualWork Location Type:\nOnsiteCommitment to Non-Discrimination\nAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to disability, status as a protected veteran or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, local or international law.\nMITRE intends to maintain a website that is fully accessible to all individuals.
