In this role, you will have the opportunity to:\nArchitect, implement, test, document, and debug embedded software systems (primarily C/C++)\nCollaborate across multidisciplinary teams to define requirements and set technical direction for software development efforts\nEstablish and reinforce best practices for software design, implementation, integration, and verification\nIntegrate and troubleshoot hardware/software interfaces across embedded platforms and RF/SDR-connected systems\nImplement and optimize advanced algorithms in hardware and software on embedded platforms\nLead project teams and mentor junior engineers\nInterface with sponsors and build relationships for future programs and task\nEvaluate and incorporate emerging technologies into next-generation prototype systems\nBasic Qualifications:\nTypically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.\nExperience leading technical efforts and small engineering teams\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nTechnical expert-level proficiency in high-performance programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust), as well as other high-level languages (e.g., Python) and strong understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfacing\nExperience with implementation best practices, modern design methods and software development flows including git\nDemonstrated experience as task leader on high-performing multidisciplinary teams, with proven ability to architect solutions and implement components of embedded systems\nUnderstanding and experience with low-level processor architectures, operating system design, and hardware interfacing\nExperience with at least one of the following: real-time operating systems, POSIX interfaces, Linux/BSD user and kernel environments\nWillingness to mentor and develop junior engineers\nMust have an active Secret U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
