Our work involves researching, developing, and applying advanced technologies in core areas such as:\nNetwork Transport architecture design and implementation for operational fielding\nOptical Transport Network (OTN) and Carrier Ethernet (CE) Engineering\nNetwork Type 1 Encryption devices\nNetwork Routing and Switching\nVirtual Private Networks / Network Overlay Technologies\nFamiliar with , Cyber security techniques, Zero Trust, Crypto devices\nNetwork reliability, resilience, mission security and assurance\nNetwork Quality of Service Engineering\nNetwork Operation Center tools and management design\nBy integrating deep technical expertise across these networking domains, we provide our federal sponsors with comprehensive solutions that enable their mission outcomes.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nMITRE Lead Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, testing, validation, and modernization of high quality of service, secure, resilient, and scalable Air Force network environments spanning WAN, CAN, and secure Government cloud use cases. Opportunities exist to merge Air Force networks to achieve costs savings and optimization of transport. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, strong collaboration, technical rigor, and the ability to translate sponsor and mission needs into practical engineering solutions. The role requires familiarity with Intelligence Communities architectures and Air Force acquisition processes.\nBasic Qualifications:\nTypically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.\nMust have an active Top Secret/SCI U.S Government issued Security Clearance.
