From hospitals and schools to energy, water, agriculture, housing, and more, our projects touch every aspect of life, always with the highest standards and a long-term commitment to future generations.\nProject Overview:\nIn Uíge, one of the largest electrification projects in Angola is currently underway.\nThe program includes more than 600 km of transmission lines and the construction of 9 new substations, covering 23 municipalities and 44 communes in the province.\nThis project will create 10,000 new household connections and public lighting systems, bringing electricity to thousands of families and driving social, agricultural, and industrial development in the region.\nJoin the team that is bringing energy and progress to Angola.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager - Substations to lead the execution of our high-voltage substation projects within the Energy Division. With solid hands-on experience in HV/MV substation construction, electromechanical installation, testing, energization, and commissioning (200kV-60kV and 60kV-30kV), you will oversee project planning, site execution, coordination, and delivery, ensuring all works are completed in compliance with Mitrelli’s quality, safety, technical, and performance standards.\nYou will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of substation projects, coordinating engineering, construction teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Management\nManage the full project lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out) in line with PMI BoK® standards.\nDefine project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring delivery within cost, time, and quality parameters.\nOversee day-to-day site operations, including construction, installation, and commissioning activities.\nMonitor project progress and performance using SPI and CPI indicators, implementing corrective actions when needed.\nTechnical Oversight\nCoordinate design and construction activities for HV substations, including layouts, transformers, switchgear, busbars, control/protection systems, and auxiliary equipment.\nReview and validate technical documentation, drawings, and material submissions.\nSupervise factory and site acceptance tests (FAT/SAT), installation quality, and commissioning processes.\nEnsure compliance with client requirements, technical standards, and safety regulations.\nStakeholder & Team Coordination\nLead and coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective execution and communication.\nLiaise with clients, consultants, and local authorities, ensuring alignment on technical and scheduling matters.\nConduct regular progress meetings, site inspections, and reporting for senior management.\nEnsure HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards are applied across all project activities.\nCommercial & Risk Management\nSupport the Project Director in project cost control, financial reporting, and procurement activities.\nIdentify risks, propose mitigation measures, and manage project change requests.\nPrepare technical and progress reports, forecasts, and project documentation.\nRequirements\n BSc in Electrical Engineering (mandatory);
