A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Job Summary:\nWe're seeking an Associate to join our growing Portfolio Management Group. You will conduct credit analysis and recommendation for financial institution credits across the spectrum of FIG portfolio:\nBanks / Business Development Companies / Asset Managers / Insurance companies (Life & Health insurance and Property & Casualty companies)\nStructured financial solutions\nAsset based lending including Fund and NAV lending\nYou will prepare and evaluate credit proposals and make recommendations to management on credit approval. You’ll be also monitoring the client financial, industry and credit trends regularly.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform due diligence on new transactions as well as regularly scheduled evaluation of the existing loan portfolio.\nCoordinate and communicate account information across various constituencies throughout the organization.\nResponsible for knowledge of particular industries and all current events in assigned portfolio utilizing internal and external sources.\nOversee covenants compliance database and facility closing due diligence, including documentation.\nAttend client meetings.\nParticipate in special projects as assigned.\nAdvanced Credit/Underwriting Solutions:\nWork within a deal team environment (with Global Relationship Managers, Credit Administration, Sponsor Coverage, and Capital Markets) to support the development and analysis of financing structures/strategies.\nPrescreen proposed transactions to identify critical structural issues and risks, balancing institutional policy with business development needs.\nSupport credit analysis for structured credit transactions (derivatives transactions, receivable securitizations).\nUnderstand and maintain knowledge of industries represented in portfolio, including technical aspects and regulatory issues.\nConduct site visits and participate in client and bank meetings.\nPolicy and Deal Advocacy:\nSupport the communication with the credit approval division including final hold level strategies to ensure alignment of risk strategy and policy.\nEvaluate and establish appropriate ratings for transactions and correlate appropriate exposure level with regard to exposure on both a transaction and group level.\nEnsure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.\nSkills & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (CFA or MBA is a plus).\n3+ years of experience at a financial institution (analyzing corporate clients' risk and credit profiles), accounting firm or rating agency\nIdeally you will have experience in the following sectors:Insurance companies including property casualty companies and life insurance with preferred experience in life insurance and side car credit terms negotiation\nAsset Managers and funds, asset-based lending (ABL) across multiple asset classes\nCounterparty credit risk management and administration of derivative limits\n\nSolid experience in analyzing financial institution credits and conducting due diligence on such corporations.\nAbility to build complex financial models to assess the customers’ repayment ability.\nExperience in analyzing/supporting investment banking products including asset-based lending (securitization, leasing), NAV lending and structured insurance solutions, and understanding of structure risks inherent in such finance\nExperience in underwriting M&A finance, and ability in conducting merger and valuation analysis.\nStrong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.\nThe ability to manage multiple priorities.\nCompensation & Benefits:\nThe typical base pay range for this role is between $125k - $155k depending on level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
