MUFG is seeking a dedicated HR Operations Analyst to join their London-based Global HR Central Services Team, serving all UK employees and the local HR team. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to be at the heart of HR operations, delivering quality support and advice across the organisation. What you'll do:
- You will suggest, design, and implement process improvements for the HR Operations team to enhance historical working practices and create solutions that align with departmental objectives supporting MUFG’s vision.
- You will partner with the Head of Employee Relations and Policy to stay informed about changes in employment legislation, updating relevant documents and communicating updates to the team.
- You will advise line managers on policy and procedure matters, escalating complex issues to the appropriate Head of Centre of Excellence or Regional HR Operations as needed.
- You will manage queries and process actions related to various HR activities within the Operations Team, ensuring timely resolution within agreed service levels.
- You will produce accurate severance documentation and handle associated administration tasks while maintaining precise records for all employee lifecycle events.
- You will oversee end-to-end HR employee lifecycle processes including leave of absence cases such as maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, jury service, sabbatical leave, compassionate leave, study leave, and more.
- You will prepare income protection claims, employee insurance claims, occupational health referrals promptly and efficiently.
- You will respond to statutory, regulatory, and government reports and surveys in a timely manner while processing all non-standard and sensitive leavers including redundancy paperwork.
- You will locally prepare key performance metrics for the UK office and manage overpayments by liaising with HR Advisory, Payroll Team, and other business units.
- You will ensure all services are delivered according to agreed policies and procedures while contributing towards high levels of client service; maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation through continual professional development.
What you bring:
- Experience with general HR functions including administration tasks using HR software platforms such as Workday; proven ability to manage transactional Employee Relations activity within defined processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of escalation centre models required due to litigation risk or process failure; previous experience partnering with business units as a generalist HR professional advising according to policy and legislation.
- Proven track record improving processes proactively managing operational risks within an advisory HR role; experience influencing outcomes through pragmatic delivery of HR solutions supporting business needs.
- Previous advisory experience at case management level within a shared service centre environment; ability to deliver dependable client service under tight deadlines.
- A degree in Business Administration or Human Resources (or equivalent work experience) is essential; excellent communication skills coupled with strong numerical abilities are required.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills are mandatory; familiarity with Workday is preferred along with experience participating in HR transformation projects.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy in all documentation; structured approach combined with logical thinking when managing large workloads.
- Calm demeanour enabling effective performance under pressure; creative mindset fostering innovative approaches to work challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills facilitating collaborative relationships across teams; proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development.
