Technology Engineering

Identity and Access Management Operations, AVP

Job Summary:

Identity and Access Management Operations is responsible for the overall lifecycle of human and service accounts that have access to domains, servers, databases and locally authenticated applications.

The Identity and Access Management Operations, Assistant Vice President is responsible for supporting the Vice President. This includes assigning work, monitoring completion, ensuring quality execution as well as providing back up support for the Vice President. Additionally, this role is responsible for access management activities within the Applications Team.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

· A strong understanding of least privilege, access governance, and security best practices.

· Work ownership, transparency, and sound judgment in decision-making.

· Self-motivation to establish clear priorities, drive accountability, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

· The ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Major Responsibilities:

· Queue Management: Complete assigned provisioning and deprovisioning tasks within department required timeframes.

· Assist VP with:

o Assigning and monitoring tickets when needed

o Assist Application Administrators by answering questions and providing training when needed

o Lead parts or all of Application weekly meetings when requested

o Monitoring of third-party schedules as backup to the Vice President

o Respond to Sr Leadership issues/escalations when requested or as backup to Vice President

· Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts: When SOP or Playbook errors are found, partner with subject matter experts to ensure updates occur timely and the team is made aware of any changes.

· Manage Ticket Escalations: Support ticket escalations by working closely with managers and security administrators to resolve issues efficiently.

· Application Onboarding: Support onboarding of new applications and platforms into IAM operational processes.

· Liaise with Support Models: Experience working with and providing direction to global teams, offshore support models, and vendor-managed services.

• Regulatory Assurance: Support internal and external audits, regulatory examinations, and evidence collection activities; including Live demonstrations.
• Incident & Problem Management: Partner with technology and business teams to resolve access-related issues and minimize operational disruption
• Monitor timeliness & Quality Execution: Ensure timely execution of user provisioning, access modifications, deprovisioning, and access reviews in accordance with established service levels and security policies.

Qualifications:

Hard Skills

· A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

· 3+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management, Information Security, or Technology Operations.

· Prior experience in ticketing and queue management.

· Moderate Excel skills for data analysis, including macros, scripting, or formula experience.

· Demonstrated proficiency in both written and spoken English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and information to diverse audiences

· Experience with IAM tools, ServiceNow, Identity Governance Administration (IGA), Active Directory, Microsoft Azure and PAM platforms.

Soft Skills

· Previous customer service skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service

· Proven experience working with integrity, accountability, and a strong risk mindset.

· Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

· Experience with working with and providing direction to third party offshore service providers

· Preferred experience in the financial sector.

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:

• $92k - $123k

depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
