The role focuses on enhancing platform reliability, accelerating delivery cycles, and maintaining strong governance and control standards across the application landscape.\nKey Accountabilities and main responsibilities\nStrategic Focus\nContribute to the implementation and adoption of DevOps practices, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology priorities. \nSupport the transition towards automated, scalable, and resilient deployment models to enhance operational efficiency and reliability. \nDrive continuous improvement initiatives across software delivery processes to optimise platform performance, efficiency, and stability.\nOperational Management\nLiaise with stakeholders across MUFG and third-party vendors to support application platforms, services, and integrations. \nCollaborate closely with development teams to embed DevOps principles throughout the application design, build, testing, and deployment lifecycle. \nManage and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications and SQL-based systems, ensuring reliable and efficient software delivery. \nSupport batch processing, job scheduling, and environment dependencies critical to business applications and transaction processing platforms. \nEvaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools and technologies for continuous integration, continuous delivery, orchestration, and configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). \nContinuously improve deployment and release management processes to enhance delivery speed, stability, and operational efficiency. \nMonitor system health and performance, ensuring the timely identification and resolution of incidents and technical issues. \nLead the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues across development, testing, and production environments. \nEnsure high system availability and contribute to disaster recovery planning, testing, and readiness activities. \nConduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement sustainable solutions to prevent recurrence. \nParticipate in after-hours and weekend support activities as required to meet operational and business needs.\nPeople Leadership\nCollaborate with Service Delivery Managers (SDMs), Project Managers (PMs), and stakeholders across Australia and the UK to deliver development initiatives and project outcomes. \nManage and coordinate day-to-day BAU activities and project delivery, working closely with Development, Testing, and Business Analysis teams. \nBuild and implement modern software development practices, engineering standards, and industry best practices to improve quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.\nGovernance & Risk\nEnsure compliance with technology standards, policies, security controls, and governance requirements. \nMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with established operational standards and procedures. \nIdentify, escalate, and manage risks, issues, and incidents that may impact service delivery or business operations. \nSupport audit activities and ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and control requirements.\nThe above list of key accountabilities is not an exhaustive list and may change from time-to-time based on business needs.\nExperience & Personal Attributes\nExperience\n6+ years overall experience, with 3 years in DevOps / platform engineering roles\nGood experience working with .NET applications and SQL-based systems\nProven expertise in CI/CD tools such as ADO, Jenkins & Azure\nKnowledge of APIM policy and management and good understanding of Azure resources/services\nExperience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)\nProficiency in scripting (Shell, PowerShell)\nStrong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and DevOps principles\nExperience in batch-driven, transaction-heavy environments with sequencing dependencies.
