A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Position Overview:\nMUFG is seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP), SysOps Technical Engineer to support Systems Operations for Enterprise Financial Technology (EFT) Finance, Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC), and Audit technology platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, security, and day-to-day operational support of business-critical applications. The AVP will partner closely with development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to drive operational excellence, incident resolution, automation, and continuous service improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical leadership and day-to-day production support for Finance, GRC, Audit, and Compliance technology platforms.\nMonitor application health, system performance, and operational metrics to ensure service reliability and availability.\nCoordinate incident management activities, troubleshoot production issues, and facilitate timely resolution of service disruptions.\nSupport root cause analysis, problem management, and implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.\nParticipate in change management, release readiness reviews, disaster recovery exercises, and business continuity planning activities.\nImplement monitoring, observability, automation, and operational process improvements to enhance platform stability and support efficiency.\nPartner with development, infrastructure, database, cybersecurity, and vendor teams to resolve complex technical issues.\nSupport audit, regulatory, risk management, access governance, and technology control requirements.\nAssist in managing vendor support relationships and ensuring adherence to service-level commitments.\nLeverage automation, AI-enabled operational tools, and knowledge management solutions to improve support effectiveness and operational productivity.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in Systems Operations, Application Support, Production Support, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related technology roles.\nExperience supporting mission-critical applications within a large enterprise or regulated environment.\nStrong understanding of incident management, problem management, change management, and operational support processes.\nHands-on experience troubleshooting applications, databases, middleware, cloud services, infrastructure, and network-related issues.\nWorking knowledge of Linux/Unix, Windows, SQL, enterprise monitoring, automation, scheduling, and ITSM tools.\nExperience collaborating across technical and business teams to deliver operational support and service improvements.\nStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting Finance, Regulatory Reporting, GRC, Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management platforms.\nKnowledge of ITIL, SRE, Agile, DevOps, COBIT, or NIST frameworks.\nExperience with cloud platforms, observability tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.\nExposure to AIOps, Generative AI, automation platforms, and intelligent support solutions.\nIndustry certifications in Cloud Technologies, IT Service Management, Security, Risk, or Audit disciplines.\nTechnical Expertise\nApplication Support & Systems Operations\nProduction Incident & Problem Management\nLinux/Unix & Windows Administration\nDatabases & SQL\nAPIs, Middleware & System Integration\nEnterprise Scheduling & Batch Processing\nCloud Platforms & DevOps Tools\nMonitoring, Observability & Performance Analysis\nAutomation & Scripting\nSecurity Controls & Access Governance\nDisaster Recovery & Business Continuity\nITSM Processes & Operational Excellence\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline or relevant work experience\nThe typical base pay range for this role is as follows:\nNew York / New Jersey: $130k - $159k\nNon-/New York/ New jersey: $112 - $144\ndepending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
