Job Responsibilities:

• Product Specialist of ECA financing especially with Japanese ECAs. The successful candidate is expected to contribute independently to origination including pitching to external and internal clients, marketing, structuring, arranging, negotiating and executing ECA covered transactions in collaboration with MUFG branches and relevant divisions.
• Leadership and/or participation in strategic team initiatives. Update or prepare regular internal reports, including but not limited to deal pipeline, profit recognition, and periodic portfolio monitoring of executed ECA covered facilities to respective managements.
• Provide guidance and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to team members.
• Actively liaise with numerous departments and collaborate closely with Global ECA network to foster a cohesive global ECA team.
• Ensure transactions align with the Bank's risk profile requirements and perform thorough analysis on transactional risks or related aspects, including support in acquiring necessary credit approvals.
• Comply with all applicable MAS regulations and MUFG group policies.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum JLPT N1 Certification (or equivalent business-level Japanese proficiency) to communicate effectively with stakeholders of various divisions in Tokyo Head Office, as the role requires interaction with Japanese speaking stakeholders.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in similar structured product financing, with experience in ECAfinance.
• Proven experience as an independent marketer for ECA finance who can pitch, arrange, structure, negotiate, execute and portfolio control until maturity under supervision of team head.
• Demonstrated knowledge of basic banking product including credit analysis roles. Experience in transaction banking or structured trade finance products would be an advantage.
• Demonstrated familiarity with legal principles and demonstrable knowledge in documenting ECA finance transactions.
• Robust business insight with a proven knack for closing deals.
• Strong technical skills, a strategic mindset and business acumen.
• Proactive, resourceful, collaborative and a good team player with ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and customer-facing communication relating to ECA transactions
• Self-starter attitude, cooperative team player while capable of operating independently with a customer-centric approach.
