Why join us?
Mitti by SafetyCulture is a global tech company, just not the kind you're picturing. Our almost 1,000-person team builds tools that make work better for the three billion frontline workers who keep the world moving. We've got big tech scale, without the sign-off layers or corporate theatre. Every permanent team member gets equity, so when we grow, you do too. This next chapter is about scaling smart, powered by AI, a clear vision and real ownership.
Big tech impact, without the big tech ick.
The role
We're several phases into a multi-year initiative to modernize our frontend - new tooling, a new web repo, and an architecture designed to be dramatically faster to build and iterate on than what came before. The strategy is set and the roadmap exists, with early wins already proving out the approach.
Alongside the technical work, this role has a real human element: helping other product teams across the engineering org actually adopt the new stack. You'll work with engineers on other teams to understand what's blocking their migration and help make the case - practically, not just technically - for why it's worth the move.
What you'll be doing
Contribute to and help execute our frontend architecture strategy, working within an established roadmap that continues to evolve as tooling and industry practice shifts
Support migration efforts across the wider engineering org - partnering with engineers on other teams to spot blockers and help them move onto the new stack
Participate in RFCs and design reviews as a contributor, helping shape and communicate architectural decisions
Mentor engineers at the mid-level and below, sharing context on the new architecture and helping others build confidence in it
Bring a practical point of view on where AI tooling helps frontend development day-to-day
Take on increasing ownership over specific areas of the platform as you build context and trust with the team
About you
Strong, current experience with React, with well-formed opinions on performance and code quality
A generalist frontend background - comfortable across the stack rather than narrowly specialized in one area
Clear, confident communication - you'll be contributing to design reviews and explaining technical decisions to engineers outside your immediate team
Comfort working within an evolving roadmap, where the plan will keep shifting as the broader ecosystem does
Solid exposure to platform, tooling, or shared-infrastructure work - this isn't a pure feature-delivery role, so experience in this space is required, alongside strong frontend fundamentals
