WE ALSO COLLABORATE WITH OUR AFFILIATE COMPANY, MIZUHO SECURITIES, TO PROVIDE INVESTMENT BANKING SOLUTIONS TO OUR CLIENTS.\n\nJob Responsibilities\n 1) Data Platform & Enterprise Architecture LeadershipDefine and execute the APAC data platform architecture strategy, aligned with global priorities and regulatory/local market requirements.\nArchitect scalable, secure, future-ready data platforms that support business change and modernization outcomes.\nIntegrate and modernize legacy systems and disparate data sources into unified, trusted data ecosystems enabling analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI.\nDrive adoption of open systems and standard architectures to improve agility, interoperability, and resilience.\n2) Delivery Management & Execution (Architecture-through-Delivery)Be accountable for successful delivery of a regional data platform, including day-to-day coordination and delivery oversight.\nPartner with sponsors/stakeholders to define goals, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.\nSupport requirements/backlog prioritization, user stories, and alignment ceremonies (stand-ups, showcases/POCs, SteerCo, working groups).\nCreate and deliver against detailed project plans; track dependencies, manage delivery risks, and ensure timely execution.\nManage budgets/forecasts and oversee external vendors/data providers.\n3) Governance & Stakeholder EngagementEstablish and embed architecture principles, standards, and governance, ensuring enterprise-wide alignment.\nChair/lead architecture forums as needed and provide strategic oversight for significant technology programs.\nBuild strong relationships across regional/country technology leadership, product, delivery teams, external vendors, and Head Office (Japan).\nDrive architecture advocacy via workshops and knowledge sharing across business and technology communities.\n4) Engineering Excellence (Quality, Simplicity, Performance)Apply strong software engineering practices: code profiling/optimization, debugging complex issues, and choosing appropriate languages/paradigms.\nDrive pragmatic design: SOLID/cohesion, idempotence, domain modelling, performance-by-design; familiarity with CQRS and eventual consistency.\nPromote modern delivery practices: automation by default, CI/CD, automated security scanning and performance testing.\n5) Reliability, Observability, Security & ComplianceDesign for reliability, performance, and availability and ensure platforms meet both user needs and business goals.\nFacilitate adoption of platforms with embedded observability, risk, and compliance controls.\nEnsure secure-by-default engineering, including server hardening fundamentals and use of SSL/encryption principles.\n6) People & Talent LeadershipProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering/delivery teams and the architecture community.\nLead design discussions, gain buy-in, and develop others through coaching and knowledge sharing.\n\nJob Requirements\n Experience: Minimum 10 years delivering in strong engineering teams, with proven delivery ownership for data/technology initiatives.\nStrong background in enterprise/data/solution architecture and modernization programs (cloud adoption and large-scale integrated solutions exposure preferred).\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills across engineering, product, and senior business leaders; ability to collaborate across APAC and with Japan/global teams.\nSolid foundation across:Software engineering and design practices (performance, SOLID, idempotence, domain modelling).\nDevOps/automation and CI/CD with security/performance testing automation.\nInfrastructure basics (OS, scripting, networking) and data storage paradigms;
