We are looking for a Field Service Engineer covering high tech production systems, lasers, motion stages and vacuum products of MKS Instruments. The primary focus of this position is the support of our vacuum products for scientific and industrial applications, mainly in Phoenix, Arizona.\nYou Make an Impact By:\nSystem installation, diagnose and repair of reactive gas generators, optical gas analyzers and mass spectrometry equipment and troubleshooting of electromechanical subassemblies.\nMaintain operational functionality of scientific and industrial vacuum equipment.\nInstruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the systems.\nServes as company interface with customer and factory on administrative and technical matters.\nDetermines methods and procedures on new assignments.\nOther duties may be assigned and could include shift, weekend and on-call coverage.\nUSA and International travel is a requirement for customer support and for training on our products.\nSkills You Bring:\nAssociate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree and/or applicable Certification is preferred.\n5+ years of related practical experience\nExceptional troubleshooting skills with new electrical, mechanical and vacuum systems\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills\nAbility to assume new tasks and responsibilities, self-manage, and schedule working time with minimal supervision\nHigh degree of proficiency of PC skills including MS office, SAP, and data analysis applications\nAbility to travel up to between 20-30% of the time. This typically involves travel to a customer site during a normal business week\nSpecial Skills and Abilities:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent communication and computer skills (MSOffice).\nWorks with integrity, is ethical and is able to inspire the trust of others.\nStrong analytic, business, interpersonal, and communication skills\nMotivated, self-driven, positive approach to problem solving.\nAbility to succeed in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, high tech environment.\nExperience with Semiconductor equipment would be an advantage.\nAbility to travel internationally in support of MKS Instruments installations and applications, as well as training on our products, may be required. Primary consideration will be given to US Citizens and US Green Card Holders as this is a requirement to support certain customers\nPhysical Demands:\nPerform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time\nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.\nRegularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination\nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary Pay Range: $80,000 - 100,000 per year.
