In this role, you will report to the Director of Product Management.\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nProvide technical support for worldwide MKS sales for V&IPS products, including product selection, specifying special configurations, and troubleshooting.\nTravel to customer sites (with local sales and applications staff) to discuss product features and integration, support testing or product installation, or troubleshoot problems.\nWorking with Product Managers, Engineers, and Applications Engineers, perform tests or demonstrations to resolve customer applications issues.\nDefine and document special customer product configurations based on customer needs.\nGenerate, review, and price special customer configurations, assist Sales and Customer Service in providing product quotations to customers.\nPrepare, conduct, and participate in training and education programs focusing on product capabilities and applications.\nTravel Requirements: Up to 50% of Travel is required.\nSkills You Bring:\nB.S. in an Engineering or Physical Science field. Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.\n5+years in a design, applications, or manufacturing engineering role.\nExcellent interpersonal and communications skills for working with customers and in-house MKS personnel.\nExperience, knowledge, or ability to learn vacuum technology, pressure control, mass flow controllers, vacuum valves, plasma systems, and systems integration.\nMust be able to operate ‘hands-on’ as necessary when working at customer locations, or internal labs\nProficient in MS office and computer skills\nAbility to travel about 25% of the time both domestically and internationally\nPreferred Skills:\n2+ years of experience with Semiconductor Deposition or etch tools, Reactive Gas Systems, or vacuum deposition systems is preferred\nKnowledge or ability to learn basic use of digital electronics: TTL logic, RS232, Devicenet, and / or EtherCAT\nExperience working in or supporting a production semiconductor fab or equipment manufacturer is a plus.\nWe are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
