In this role, you will report to the Director of Thin Film Engineering.\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nDeveloping, designing and optimizing optical thin film deposition processes to meet requirements and specifications, for ion beam sputtering, ion assist and electron beam coating processes for our thin film coatings group\nWorking closely with design engineers and technicians to resolve technical issues, troubleshooting and characterization of coating chambers processes\nCharacterizing the equipment and coating process, and working with the team to reduce downtime\nManaging defect issues, implementing root cause solutions to those issues, and continuously promote improvement, quality and cost\nSupporting the team with process documentation, training and formalizing work instruction documents\nSupporting the coating process and training of technicians and machine maintenance personnel\nSkills You Bring:\nBachelor Degree in Materials Science, Physics or Engineering with 3-5 years of in-depth experience in a thin film manufacturing environment\nCorrelating thin film performance with deposition chamber hardware and processes\nExperience troubleshooting and problem solving thin film processes\nStrong communication skills\nProficiency using Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time and climb stairs\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery\nOccasionally moves/positions up to 10 pounds\nThis job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment\nWe are interested in a qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we will not be sponsoring work visas for this position, at this time.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nSalary Pay Range: $100,000 to $140,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
