In this role, you will report to the Production Supervisor.\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nExecute detailed test plans to validate software, hardware, and integrated optical systems.\nPerform both manual and automated testing using industry tools and custom-built solutions.\nMeasure diffraction gratings and analyze results using Excel, macros, and data visualization tools.\nApply critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, align optical systems, and identify root causes.\nCreate and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation, test procedures, and reports.\nPartner with engineering teams to understand design requirements and develop unique solutions.\nLead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing accuracy and productivity.\nCompletion of a 2-year degree in Optics, Physics, Engineering, or related technical field preferred. \nRequired Skills:\n3+ years of hands-on technical experience in optical testing or related engineering fields.\nProficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) with strong data analysis and visualization skills.\nExcellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.\nStrong initiative, curiosity, and creativity in tackling new challenges.\nExperience with LabView, Matlab, coding (Python, C), and Visual Basic macros is preferred, but not required.\nPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:\nManufacturing and lab setting requiring focus and precision.\nHands-on interaction and troubleshooting with optical, electrical, and mechanical systems.\nExtended periods of standing/sitting, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.\nOccasional low-light work environments and standard factory noise levels.\nCommitment to safe practices while working with electrical, mechanical, and optical equipment.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nPay Range: $18.89 - 31.49 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
