Please take a moment to browse through our website and learn more about what it means to serve with MKS2.\nCloud Software Developer\nLocation: Dahlgren, VA\nWork Schedule: Full-time onsite, Monday through Friday\nSalary: $130,000 to $140,000 annually\nClearance: Active Top Secret required\nRelocation Assistance: May be available for qualified candidates\nPosition Overview\nWe are seeking a Cloud Software Developer to support mission-critical software and cloud initiatives in Dahlgren, Virginia. This position is ideal for a software engineer or cloud developer who combines strong application-development skills with hands-on experience working in AWS environments.\nThis is primarily a software and cloud development role, not a traditional data engineering position. The successful candidate will design, develop, integrate, and deploy cloud-based applications and services while working with technologies such as AWS, Lambda, Kubernetes, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and modern programming languages.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications and services.\nDevelop and integrate solutions within AWS, including serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda.\nBuild and maintain APIs and integrations between applications, services, and enterprise systems.\nDevelop software using languages such as Python, Java, C#, or C++.\nDeploy and support containerized applications using Kubernetes and related cloud-native technologies.\nSupport automated build, test, deployment, and release processes through CI/CD pipelines.\nTroubleshoot application, integration, and cloud-environment issues.\nCollaborate with engineering and technical teams to integrate software across complex systems.\nContribute to ETL workflows, data pipelines, and data integration activities as needed.\nRequired Qualifications\nStrong professional experience in software or application development.\nHands-on experience developing or supporting solutions in AWS.\nProficiency in one or more programming languages, such as:Python\nJava\nC#\nC++\n\nExperience developing or integrating REST APIs and/or web services.\nExperience with Kubernetes, containers, or cloud-native application environments.\nFamiliarity with CI/CD practices and automated software delivery.\nExperience integrating applications, services, or distributed systems.\nAbility to work 100% onsite in Dahlgren, VA, Monday through Friday.\nActive Top Secret security clearance.\nAbility to obtain SCI eligibility within 30 days, as required for the position.
