Please take a moment to browse through our website and learn more about what it means to serve with MKS2.\nSenior Team Lead - 3D Modeling & Virtual Simulation\nAUP VSR Support\nLocation: Leavenworth, KS\nExperience Level: Senior\nOpenings: 1\nPosition Type: Full-Time\nSchedule: Monday-Friday, availability required for 8 hours between 7:00 AM-4:30 PM\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Team Lead - 3D Modeling & Virtual Simulation to support the AUP VSR program in Leavenworth, Kansas. This individual will serve as Key Personnel and will be responsible for the day-to-day performance, technical direction, scheduling, and execution of contract requirements.\nThe ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in 3D asset creation, environmental art, Autodesk Maya, and gaming software with the leadership and communication skills needed to coordinate technical work, manage development timelines, and interface effectively with Government stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nServe as the designated Team Lead and Key Personnel supporting the AUP VSR program.\nLead the daily execution and performance of contract activities.\nServe as the Contractor's primary operational point of contact for matters related to day-to-day contract performance.\nCoordinate with Government personnel regarding requirements, schedules, deliverables, and ongoing activities.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to personnel supporting 3D modeling and virtual simulation initiatives.\nSupport the creation and development of 3D assets, environmental elements, models, textures, and gaming-related products.\nUtilize Autodesk Maya and applicable gaming software and technologies.\nDevelop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and forecasts for products in development.\nTrack project progress and proactively identify potential schedule, production, and technical risks.\nCommunicate complex technical concepts clearly to users with varying levels of technical expertise.\nMaintain proficiency with current gaming-industry file extensions and formats for models and textures, including their benefits and appropriate applications.\nMonitor relevant advancements in 3D modeling and gaming technologies to help maintain the technical currency of the AUP VSR program.\nEnsure work products and activities remain aligned with contractual requirements and Government expectations.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in 3D Gaming, 3D Modeling, or a similar field.\nMinimum of 3 years of professional experience as a:3D Asset Creator\nEnvironmental Artist\n3D Modeler\nSimilar 3D development professional\n\nDemonstrated professional experience using Autodesk Maya.\nProficiency with gaming software and associated technologies.\nWorking knowledge of gaming-industry file formats and extensions used for 3D models and textures.\nUnderstanding of the benefits and appropriate applications of various model and texture formats.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to explain and guide technical information for both technical and non-technical users.\nDemonstrated experience developing, maintaining, and managing project timelines and forecasts.\nAbility to lead daily contract activities and coordinate effectively with both Contractor and Government personnel.\nAvailability Requirements\nThe Team Lead must be available for eight hours between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays and days when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe strongest candidate will bring a blend of hands-on 3D modeling expertise and team leadership experience.
