In this role, you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.\nYou Will Make an Impact By:\nAnalyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software\nTroubleshoots code for firmware (IC embedded code) applications\nWork often involves analog and digital hardware and software operating systems\nPosition requires knowledge and exposure to hardware design\nTypically, programs in machine language, assembly language and high-level languages (eg, C, C++)\nDefining architectural design, implementation, verification and validation of firmware for embedded metrology products supporting semiconductor manufacturing and other advanced markets\nSupporting the development and diagnostics of the hardware surrounding the processor\nWorking collaboratively with other software engineers and engineers/scientists of other disciplines to solve challenging problems.\nSkills You Bring:\nRequires a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree and 8+ years of related experience\nAt this level, graduate coursework may be preferred\nExperience in the development of embedded system architecture and algorithms.\nFluency with the C and C++ programming languages\nExperience with using emulators, communication bus monitoring hardware/software, oscilloscopes, and similar tools to develop and debug products.\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience with EtherCat or comparable field buses.\nExperience with Python or FreeRTOS.\nExperience with the STM32 family of processors\nPhysical Demands and Working Conditions:\nMust be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time\nConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery\nThis job operates in a professional office environment\nThis position is onsite and must be within commutable distance to our location in Broomfield, CO.
