The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to learn independently, a tenacity for evaluating and improving systems, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and an understanding of signal flow and production tools.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport and maintain multiple studio production environments. \nSupport large postproduction and SAN systems. \nSupport advanced television graphics systems.\nSupport transmission systems.\nManage assigned vendor issues until full through full resolution.\nLead the management of broadcast technologies at the engineering and operational levels. \nPerform other duties as required. \nQualifications and Skills:\nThe position requires 10+years of hands-on experience supporting studio and postproduction environments. \nExperience supporting production switchers, multi-viewer systems, large-scale audio consoles, and intercom systems. \nThe applicant should have basic computer and networking skills, including Microsoft Office Suite AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.\nExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn. \nAdvanced knowledge of current and future television systems and formats, including SMPTE 2110. \nAn understanding of common video compression standards (MPEG2, H.264/AVC, HEVC) as well as video transmission protocols/formats (MPEG2 transport stream, SCTE35, ASI, RTP, SRT, RIST) is a plus. \nUnderstanding of fiber optic and copper networking technologies. \nThe candidate should be a self-starter and a team player. \nMust be detail oriented, meticulous and able to maintain confidentiality. \nDemonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television. \nAbility to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.\nAbility to sit, stand, kneel, for extended periods of time. \nAbility to lift up to 35 pounds. \nPossess the manual dexterity needed to effectively create required work product. \nPossess the visual acuity needed to effectively create required work product. \nPossess the auditory acuity needed to effectively create required work product.\nPrompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location.\nEducation:\nBachelor’s degree, or equivalent level of experience. \nPosition Reports to:\nSr. Manager, Engineering\nPay Range: $115,000 - $125,000\nAs a candidate for this position, your salary and related aspects of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills, and any other factors MLB Network considers relevant to the hiring decision.
