Based at our Bradford manufacturing site, the role leads day-to-day local IT and Operational Technology (OT) support while contributing to the delivery of IT services across MM sites in the UK & Ireland.\nThe successful candidate will be accountable for delivering reliable, secure and effective IT services that support users, production operations, infrastructure and business applications. Working closely with Group IT, external partners and the Bradford Senior Leadership Team, the Site IT Manager will translate business needs into practical technology solutions, lead the local IT team and deputise for the Regional IT Manager, UK & Ireland, when required.\nYour Role\nYou will lead the delivery of responsive first- and second-line support for users, resolving incidents promptly and escalating to Group IT or third-party partners where appropriate.\nYou will monitor and prioritise the IT support queue, manage incidents through to resolution and keep users informed of progress.\nYou will support company-owned technology, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, local servers, network components, software and peripherals.\nYou will provide clear, practical guidance and training, translating technical information into language that users can readily understand.\nYou will manage the site IT inventory, maintaining accurate stock and allocation records and ensuring that suitable hardware, software and peripherals are available to meet operational requirements.\nYou will support internal and external events by preparing, testing and operating required technology.\nYou will measure user satisfaction and identify opportunities to improve service quality.\nYou will Install, test, configure hardware, software & system functions in line with Group IT standards and specifications.\nYou will monitor alerts, investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions, engaging specialist support where required.\nYou will maintain accurate infrastructure, application and asset records; coordinate equipment returns and compliant asset disposal.\nYou will oversee the server room, communications cabinets and other IT work areas, ensuring they are secure, stable, appropriately resourced, tidy and accessible.\nYou will lead local rollout and retirement activities for servers, endpoints, network infrastructure and peripherals.\nAdminister Microsoft end-user and modern workplace technologies, including Windows desktop and server environments.\nYou will support, maintaining and improving the site’s OT environment, working with production, engineering, Group IT and specialist partners to ensure that manufacturing systems, connected equipment and supporting infrastructure remain reliable, secure and available.\nYou will supervise, mentor the site’s Associate IT Administrator.\nYour Profile\nEssential Experience and Skills\nProven experience in IT support, systems administration or a site-based IT role, ideally within manufacturing or a similarly operational environment.\nStrong knowledge and hands-on experience supporting endpoints, servers, network infrastructure, peripherals and Microsoft workplace technologies.\nSound understanding of cyber security, access management, data protection and disciplined change practices.\nExcellent diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage incidents from initial assessment through to resolution.\nStrong communication and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical audiences.\nEffective organisation, prioritisation and time management skills in a busy production environment.\nExperience maintaining technical documentation, asset records and operational procedures.\nAbility to lead, coach and support a junior colleague.\nA full driving licence and access to transport, with the ability to travel to other MM sites when required.\nDesirable Experience and Qualifications\nExperience supporting IT in printing, packaging, manufacturing or another production-critical environment.\nExperience supporting OT environments, including industrial networks, manufacturing systems and connected production equipment.\nFamiliarity with database concepts, backup monitoring and locally hosted business applications.\nExperience with VMware, Aruba Networking and ServiceNow, ideally supported by relevant vendor certifications.\nRelevant professional, technical or service-management certifications.\nExperience contributing to infrastructure rollouts, site migrations or Group-wide IT projects.\nA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\nOur Offer\nThis is a site-based role at MM Packaging Bradford, requiring attendance from Monday to Friday during normal office hours. Occasional travel to other MM sites across the UK & Ireland, including overnight stays, will be required.
