We are currently seeking a DevOpsEngineering Specialist to join our Ottawa based team, unlike many DevOps positions, this role is entirely focused on on-premises infrastructure with no public cloud responsibilitiesdue to the secure nature of our work.\nWhat will you be doing?\nDesign, implement, and maintainautomated CI/CD pipelines.\nDevelop and maintain GitLab CI YAML pipelines.\nDevelop and maintainJenkins pipelines and shared pipeline libraries.\nAutomate software build, packaging, testing, and deployment workflows.\nIntegrate automated unit testing, static analysis, code quality, and security scanning into build pipelines.\nOptimizebuild performance and reduce pipeline execution times.\nTroubleshoot build failures and improve pipeline reliability.\nAdminister and maintain GitLab repositories. \nLead GitLab migration initiatives from legacy repositories. \nDefine and maintainGit branching strategies. \nEstablish repository governance, permissions, and standards. \nDevelop workflows supporting multiple concurrent software releases. \nImplement versioning strategies for software and firmware.\nOwn the organization's software release process.\nCoordinate releases across multiple engineering teams.\nManage release schedules and release readiness reviews.\nProduce release packages for customers and manufacturing.\nMaintain release documentation and software baselines.\nEnsure software traceability from requirements through released binaries.\nSupport hotfix and emergency release processes.\nMaintain on-premisesbuild servers. \nAdminister Jenkins infrastructure. \nManage build agents and runners. \nMaintain artifact repositories. \nEnsure build infrastructure availability and reliability. \nMonitor pipeline performance and system health.\nWhat do we need from you?\nExperience administering GitLab.\nStrong experience with Jenkins.\nStrong experience writing YAML pipelines.\nExperience developing CI/CD workflows.\nExperience with Git source control.\nExperience with Linux and Windows environments.\nExperience scripting in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.\nStrong understanding of software configuration management.\nExperience troubleshooting complex build issues.\nAbility to Automate repetitive engineering tasks.\nCreate tooling to improve developer productivity\nCompliance Statement\nThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and is subject to additional security screening.
