We are currently seeking a Procurement Specialist who’s ready to go beyond day-to-day buying and take a strategic role in shaping MMIST’s procurement future. This role isn’t just about placing orders-it’s about developing sourcing strategies, building high-performing supplier relationships, and optimizing value across the supply chain!\nWhat will you be doing?\nStrategic procurement & sourcing, developing and executing category strategies that align with MMIST’s business goals.\nManage major procurement activity and supplier relationships across all spend categories.\nLead complex sourcing projects and contract negotiations to achieve PPV and NWC Targets.\nDrive continuous improvement and efficiency through spend analysis and supplier rationalisation.\nLook for cost efficiencies and mitigate supply chain risks and resolve issues proactively.\nWork with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the supply chain to resolve issues and blocking points, all with the focus of ensuring on time in full delivery of materials.\nPartner with MMIST’s teams across Production, Quality, Logistics and Contract Security to align procurement initiatives, maintaining an awareness of external impacts and production demand concerns, working to help find solutions to the benefit of all.\nWork with MMIST’s Quality team to evaluate supplier performance and compliance (schedule, CoQ, Manufacturing, Quality) working to identify risk and develop appropriate mitigation plans.\nEstablish and monitor KPIs to measure procurement performance and value creation, provide subject matter expertise on purchasing best practices, identify opportunities to streamline processes.\nEnsure compliance with procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines.\nContribute to building the procurement team and structure as the company scales including mentoring and supporting team development\nWhat do we need from you?\nStrong prior experience in procurement or strategic sourcing in a manufacturing or engineering environment.\nUnderstanding of cross border procurement activities at the operational level, with an awareness of wider issues and impacts on the materials supply chain that could prevent on-time in-full deliveries.\nExcellent negotiation and contract management skills\nAdept at problem-solving and able to work through complex supply chain topics with exceptional communication skills.\nExperience of producing key Supply Chain metrics to support the analytical approach to continuous improvement.\nExperience with ERP and procurement systems (Vantage, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)\nKnowledge of Governance, AS9100 / ISO9001 would be a benefit\nRelevant supply chain qualification (APICS / CIPS) or similar certifications a plus.\nCompliance Statement\nThis position may require exposure to export-controlled information and is subject to additional security screening.
