MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Boca Raton, Florida; Dallas, Texas, and Madrid.\nPosition Summary:\nThe MRO Buyer is responsible for procuring the maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) materials and services that support MN8's field operations and asset performance. This role partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure critical spare parts, equipment, consumables, and services are sourced efficiently, delivered on time, and managed cost effectively.\nThis position offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career procurement professional seeking hands-on ownership of supplier relationships, purchasing activities, inventory support, and sourcing initiatives while contributing directly to operational reliability and business performance.\nAs the MRO Buyer, you will:\nProcurement & Purchase Order Management:\nPurchase MRO materials, spare parts, tooling, consumables, equipment, and services in support of field operations.\n\nReview and process purchase requisitions; create, issue, and maintain purchase orders with accurate pricing, quantities, delivery dates, freight terms, and project/account coding.\n\nExpedite open orders and communicate lead times, availability, and order status to stakeholders.\n\nSupport emergency and breakdown purchases to minimize operational downtime.\n\nResolve receiving, quantity, pricing, quality, and invoice discrepancies in partnership with Receiving, Warehouse, and Finance teams.\n\nSupplier Management & Strategic Sourcing:\nSolicit and evaluate supplier quotations based on cost, quality, lead time, service, and overall value.\n\nNegotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties, and commercial agreements within assigned spend categories.\n\nServe as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned suppliers.\n\nSupport supplier onboarding, performance management, and corrective action initiatives.\n\nIdentify cost-reduction opportunities through supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nInventory & Operational Support:\nCollaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Asset Management to clarify technical requirements and develop sourcing specifications.\n\nMonitor MRO inventory levels and support inventory optimization strategies, including min/max settings, reorder points, and critical spare parts planning.\n\nAssist in maintaining continuity of operations by proactively addressing potential material shortages.\n\nSupport inventory control and critical spares programs to improve asset reliability and availability.\n\nData, Reporting & Compliance:\nMaintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and material master data within enterprise systems.\n\nGenerate reports and analyze spend trends, supplier performance, inventory consumption, and open purchase orders.\n\nEnsure compliance with company procurement policies, approval authorities, safety requirements, and quality standards.\n\nSupport procurement process improvements and standardization initiatives.\n\nOur ideal candidate will have:\nBachelor's degree in supply chain management preferred; or bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related discipline; or bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field coupled with a minimum of two (2) years of purchasing or procurement experience.\n\nTwo (2) to four (4) years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory planning, or related experience, preferably within an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or operations environment.\n\nWorking knowledge of the procure-to-pay process, including requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, expediting, and invoice reconciliation.\n\nExperience working within ERP, MRP, or procurement systems such as Salesforce, Oracle, SAP, or equivalent platforms.\n\nStrong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.\n\nAbility to review technical specifications, drawings, part numbers, and vendor documentation.\n\nStrong communication, organization, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.\n\nHow we set you up for success:\nAt MN8, we know our most valuable resource is our people.
