MN8 is headquartered in New York with offices in Texas, Florida and Madrid.\nPosition Overview:\nThe Solar Technician III is the most experienced field position which performs both electrical and mechanical services. The Solar Technician III primary objective is to ensure that all equipment serviced, operates at the highest level while providing leadership and training to other field positions.\nAs the Solar Technician III, you will:\nDemonstrate integrity, initiative, work ethic, as well as a commitment to safety and quality on all tasks assigned, on a continuous basis.\n\nComplete all safety training as required by the company.\n\nEnsure that all safety policies and procedures, related to any work performed, have been reviewed and understood before work begins.\n\nAttend and participate in weekly safety meetings.\n\nOversee, provide direction, and training to Solar Technician 1 and Solar Technician 2 working in the area.\n\nEnsure that all required Personnel Protective Equipment has been received, inspected and utilized in accordance with applicable safety policies and procedures.\n\nPerform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on solar, energy storage and EV charging installations in accordance with MN8 and OEM standards.\n\nTroubleshoot solar, energy storage and EV charging installations efficiently, determining the root cause and correct repair required to place the equipment back into service.\n\nComplete all assigned task safely, correctly and in the allotted time.\n\nEnsure all provided vehicles, tools, equipment, electronics, and parts are accounted for, well maintained, free of damage, properly stored and.\n\nAccurately complete all required documentation, checklist, timecards and photography for work performed.\n\nComplete all other duties and task which may be assigned by direct supervisor.\n\nOur ideal candidate will have:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\n\nMust be able to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle record check.\n\nAbility to communicate in English both orally and writing\n\nOutstanding communication and interpersonal abilities\n\nBasic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet based program navigation.\n\nProven experience understanding and implementing OSHA regulations.\n\nAbility to read, interpret and understand basic design drawings and schematics.\n\nIntermediate to advance electrical theory knowledge.\n\nKnowledge of and ability to perform and interpret IV Curve tracing, in order to determine if an issue exists.\n\nPhysical requirements:\nAbility to drive a vehicle.\n\nAvailability to work on weekends as part of on-call rotations.\n\nAbility to stand for long periods of time.\n\nAbility to walk distances up to 5 miles in a day\n\nAbility to ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, maintaining 3 points of contact.\n\nAbility to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.\n\nAbility to maintain body equilibrium while walking, standing, crouching, transitioning levels on level, narrow or slippery surfaces.\n\nRequired to have visual acuity which includes depth perception, field of vision and the ability to distinguish between colors.\n\nAbility to work in outside environments which may include but are not limited to, extreme heat (temperatures above 100℉) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32℉) for periods of more than one hour.\n\nExerting up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.\n\nOther requirements:\nDrive up to 6 hours per day to reach and return for project locations\n\nTravel up to 50% of the time outside of the service area.\n\nWork outside, in the environment up to 90% of the time, performing Preventive and Corrective Maintenances.\n\nWork in a fast-changing environment which may require quick decisions with limited processes and procedures.\n\nHow we set you up for success:\nAt MN8, we know our most valuable resource is our people.
