Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.\nThis role is highly client-facing and market-driven, with a significant focus on business development, including generating new clients, expanding services, and supporting go-to-market initiatives alongside general practitioners.\nResponsibilities\nNetwork in the local business community, identify and actively pursue business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of the client base and expansion of services\nLead or support the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs and secure new business opportunities\nManage and grow a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value; ensure clients’ needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow and develop \nLead client facing engagement teams to complete full-cycle cloud accounting engagements, as well as budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions\nCollaborate with ease team leaders to ensure consistency of standards and business processes across the service line\nDeliver expert industry and technical expertise in cloud bookkeeping through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and the creation of high-quality deliverables\nAccountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)\nMaintain quality control of cloud accounting engagements and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business, financial entries and reports\nContribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes\nAccountable for development, implementation, and improvements of operational functions within the workgroup\nMentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews\nMaintain flexibility to travel to client sites, as necessary\nSkills and Experience\nCPA designation or equivalent experience\n7 years of accounting and bookkeeping related experience\nExtensive understanding of full-cycle accounting principles and processes\nExperience working with cloud-based software is preferred\nProven people management, relationship building and leadership skills \nStrong strategic planning and conceptual thinking skills\nCertificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset\nCertificate in QuickBooks Online Advanced and Xero is preferred\nMyRewards@MNP\nWith a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
