This team member will be responsible for the entire payroll process for a company of 400+ individuals. A successful candidate will ensure strict compliance with institutional and regulatory standards and will be well organized and comfortable dealing with payroll data. Excellent people skills and an aptitude for accuracy in payroll processing is a must.\nYou will:\nResponsible for company wide semi-monthly Paylocity payroll processing, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions, for over 400 employees start to finish\nCollect and review all payroll submissions, working closely with our People team and other business partners on payroll-related matters\nEnsure accurate and timely approval and processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates, etc.\nAssist with and resolve all payroll issues\nMaintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion\nRemain up to date on new regulations and compliance regarding payroll and payroll tax.\nResponsible for company wide semi-monthly Paylocity payroll processing for over 400 employees start to finish\nExperience troubleshooting all Payroll discrepancies and resolve them timely\nReviewing and audit employee data prior to processing payroll (bonuses, pay increases, commissions, and 401, etc.)\nProcess off-cycle payrolls as needed for final paychecks, end of year payouts, etc.\nRespond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, garnishments, and other related items\nCreate custom and ad hoc reports for the Human Resources, Finance, and other departments as needed\nPerforming Year-End payroll processing, audit, and W-2 Issuance Experience with integrated services (401k, Benefits, FSA, HAS, etc.)\nOrganize, review and process complex, monthly and quarterly bonus and commission payments\nPayroll Tax\nQuarterly and Annual Payroll audit to tie out tax returns and W-2’s.\nEnsure external tax and reporting requirements are met on a timely basis (audit, filing, amendments, reporting, etc.).\nAccounting\nPrepare and process journal entries and allocations, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts\nSupport other accounting-related activities and special projects as assigned by Finance\nNetSuite experience preferred\nFulfill yearly audit requests, and other audit requests as assigned\nSOX\nPrepare SOP’s and internal procedures\nAnalyze processes and procedures for maximum efficiency and effectiveness\nPerform and monitor internal controls related to SOX compliance\nYou have:\n5+ years performing all payroll functions\nQuarterly and Annual Payroll audit experience\nExperience ensuring external tax and reporting requirements are met on a timely basis (audit, filing, amendments, reporting, etc.).\nA hands-on, detail-oriented, team-oriented, and self-directed approach to your work\nPartnered with all shared services groups (People, Accounting, Legal) to keep on an open line of communication regarding employee changes and onboarding process\nAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines\nExcellent communication, spelling and grammar skills (negotiating and problem-solving skills required)\nMicrosoft Excel: Intermediate to Advanced experience\nJournal entry and general ledger experience, required\nStrong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system\nCPP Certification, preferred\nNetSuite experience preferred\nExperience with large payroll systems, preferably with ADP\nExperience with HR & Payroll systems migration is a huge plus!\nAbout MNTN\nOur recruiters will always reach out using an email address ending with @mountain.com OR @mntn.com.
