Relationship Building\nPartner collaboratively with store managers and regional teams across to identify risk and implement practical safety solutions.\nAct as an advisor rather than an enforcer, building trust to influence positive safety behaviors at the shop level.\nDevelop process for the locations to perform monthly safety check lists. \nConduct site visits and virtual consultations to assess facility compliance and operational safety as required.\nCompliance & Regulation\nEnsure nationwide compliance with federal and state OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and local fire codes.\nServe as the resident expert on California compliance requirements, specifically managing the Senate Bill 553 / Senate Amended Injury and Illness Prevention Program (SAIRS) workplace violence and safety standards.\nKeep up to date with changing state-by-state laws to adapt company-wide policies proactively.\nTraining & Safety Education\nReview current processes and design, implement, and track comprehensive safety training programs tailored to retail automotive operations (e.g., lift safety, hazardous materials handling, PPE compliance, and lock-out/tag-out).\nDeliver training through modern, scalable methods including training platform, webinars, and hands-on toolkit talks.\nEmpower local team leaders to conduct routine, effective safety huddles.\nRisk Management & Incident Investigation\nLead investigations into workplace incidents, injuries, or near-misses, focusing on root-cause analysis and preventive actions.\nManage workers' compensation data trends to proactively target high-risk areas across the fleet of locations.\nPosition Qualifications\n5+ years of progressive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) experience, preferably within multi-unit retail, automotive service, or logistics environments\nCalifornia Compliance Expertise: Deep, demonstrable knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations, with direct experience managing CA SAIRS (SB 553) requirements\nAbility to travel to engage with locations throughout the United States\nASP, CSP, or specialized OSHA certifications are highly preferred\nAbility to work autonomously, manage a nationwide footprint, and proactively identify corporate safety needs without constant oversight.\nExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex safety regulations into clear, practical guidance for automotive technicians and corporate executives alike.\nComfortable managing safety dynamics that span across vastly different regulatory environments from state to state.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or similar software\nMaintain a valid driver’s license\nPhysical Demands/Work Environment:\nAble to function capably in an office environment using standard equipment (telephones, fax machines, computers, copiers, etc.)\nMust be able to
