Join us and help shape the future of renewable energy.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Senior Accountant is responsible for executing an accurate and timely month-end close\nprocess across multiple entities and business functions. This role owns key accounting areas\nincluding general ledger accounting, payroll accounting, fixed assets, inventory, revenue accruals,\nintercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting support. The\nideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently while\ncoordinating with operations, HR, payroll, treasury, and finance leadership.\nThe Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring financial records are complete, accurate,\nand compliant with company policies and accounting standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nMonth-End Close & General Ledger\nExecute month-end and year-end close activities in accordance with established timelines.\nPrepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries.\nRecord payroll-related journal entries and accruals.\nPrepare bonus accruals and other compensation-related accounting entries.\nRecord capitalized labor entries and maintain supporting schedules.\nReview and analyze general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness.\nMaintain supporting documentation for all journal entries.\nPayroll & Employee Benefits Accounting\nReconcile payroll reports and map payroll transactions to the general ledger.\nRecord payroll accruals and related liabilities.\nAllocate employee health benefits and other benefit expenses across business units and cost centers.\nSupport payroll reconciliations and month-end reporting requirements.\nRevenue, Accounts Receivable & Royalties\nPrepare monthly revenue accruals based on operational and commercial data.\nReview and reconcile accounts receivable aging reports.\nInvestigate aging balances and work with business partners on collection follow-up as needed.\nRecord royalty accruals and maintain supporting calculations.\nEnsure revenue-related balances are properly recorded and supported.\n\nIntercompany Accounting\nPrepare and post intercompany allocations and related entries.\nReconcile intercompany balances between entities.\nCoordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve intercompany differences and ensure balances are aligned each reporting period.\n\nCash & Treasury Accounting\nPerform monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating accounts.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.\nEnsure all cash transactions are properly recorded and supported.\n\nFixed Assets & Capital Projects\nMaintain fixed asset records and supporting schedules.\nRecord monthly depreciation and amortization entries.\nReconcile fixed asset subledgers to the general ledger.\nReview construction-in-progress (CIP) activity and capitalized labor by project.\nAssist with capitalization assessments and fixed asset policy compliance.\n\nInventory Accounting\nReconcile inventory balances between operational systems and the ERP.\nReview inventory activity and investigate discrepancies.\nSupport inventory valuation and month-end reporting processes.\nPartner with operations teams to ensure inventory records are accurate and complete.\n\nPrepaids, Accruals & Balance Sheet Reconciliations\nPrepare monthly prepaid expense amortization schedules.\nRecord and review accruals for expenses and liabilities.\nPerform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciling items on a timely basis.\nMaintain organized and audit-ready reconciliation workpapers.\n\nFinancial Reporting Support\nAssist in close reporting and preparation of financial reporting packages.\nSupport management reporting and variance analysis.\nParticipate in financial statement reviews and management discussions.\nEnsure accounting records comply with company policies and GAAP requirements.\nSupport external audit requests and provide required documentation.\n\nQualifications:\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.\n\nExperience\n5+ years of progressive accounting experience.\n2+ years of public accounting experience.\nStrong month-end close experience in a multi-entity environment.\nExperience with payroll accounting, accruals, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany accounting.\nExperience supporting audits and financial reporting processes.\nERP experience required;
