Join us and help shape the future of renewable energy.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Regulatory Compliance Engineer supports Mobius Renewables' regulatory, environmental, labor, and clean energy tax credit compliance programs across its portfolio of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities.\nThis role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state environmental regulations, renewable fuel programs, Section 45Z Clean Fuel Production Tax Credits, and Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) requirements. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, and Legal, the Compliance Engineer supports regulatory reporting, environmental attribute management, audit readiness, and contractor compliance while helping maximize the value of the Company's environmental credits and tax incentives.\nThe successful candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of interpreting complex regulatory requirements while managing multiple compliance programs in a fast-paced, growing organization.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEnvironmental & Regulatory Compliance\nSupport EPA Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) compliance, including EMTS transactions, RIN inventory management, and regulatory reporting.\nAdminister environmental attribute programs, including RINs, LCFS credits, RECs, Q-RINs, and related renewable fuel markets.\nMaintain compliance with EPA, CARB, ISCC, M-RETS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.\nCoordinate operational data required for lifecycle carbon intensity calculations and environmental reporting.\nSupport fuel pathway registration, mass balance accounting, and chain-of-custody documentation.\nPrepare and maintain regulatory filings, registrations, and compliance records.\nSupport third-party audits, verification activities, regulatory inspections, and corrective action programs.\nMonitor regulatory developments and assist with implementation of new compliance requirements.\nSection 45Z Tax Credit Compliance\nSupport compliance with Section 45Z Clean Fuel Production Tax Credit requirements.\nCoordinate collection and validation of operational and emissions data supporting GREET model calculations.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation supporting tax credit eligibility.\nCoordinate information requests from auditors, consultants, tax advisors, and verification bodies.\nAssist with implementation of evolving IRS guidance and internal compliance procedures.\nPrevailing Wage & Apprenticeship Compliance\nAdminister prevailing wage and apprenticeship compliance programs for qualifying construction, alteration, and repair activities.\nReview certified payroll submissions and contractor documentation for compliance.\nCoordinate contractor onboarding and communicate labor compliance requirements.\nTrack apprenticeship utilization and maintain supporting documentation.\nSupport contractor audits, investigations, corrective actions, and restitution documentation.\nMonitor contractor compliance performance and escalate issues as required.\nCompliance Systems & Reporting\nMaintain compliance databases, reporting tools, dashboards, and document control systems.\nReconcile operational, environmental, labor, and tax credit data across multiple systems.\nDevelop compliance metrics and management reports.\nSupport continuous improvement of compliance processes, procedures, and training materials.\nMaintain audit-ready documentation across all compliance programs.\nQualifications:\nEducation\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in:\nEnvironmental Engineering\nChemical Engineering\nMechanical Engineering\nIndustrial Engineering\nEnvironmental Science\nSustainability\nRegulatory Affairs\nor a related technical discipline\nPreferred\nProfessional certifications in environmental compliance, sustainability, project management, or regulatory affairs.\nExperience\nRequired\n3-7 years of experience in environmental compliance, engineering, sustainability, renewable energy, industrial operations, or regulatory affairs.\nExperience managing regulatory documentation and complex datasets.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.\nPreferred\nExperience with:\nRenewable Natural Gas (RNG), biogas, renewable fuels, or energy infrastructure\nEPA regulatory programs\nPrevailing wage and certified payroll administration\nThird-party audits and regulatory inspections\nCarbon accounting and lifecycle analysis\nEnvironmental attribute markets\nKnowledge & Skills\nUnderstanding of environmental and regulatory compliance programs.\nAbility to interpret and apply complex regulations.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent written and verbal communication.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities
